Can we talk about the Rams

Some of you will be begging to bring Garrett back if we lose.

This place would never do that. I will say though the offensive line situation in New York and Dallas is very similar. It will be interesting to see how Garrett/Columbo fair vs Moore/Philbin.

October 11 is going to be so interesting.

Its a coin flip at this point who will win in the first 4 or 5 weeks of the season. Condensed off season programs. No preseason games. This season will boil down to who can get up to speed first, stay healthy and win games late in the season. I won't panic if they lose 3 of 4 or win 3 of 4. October is when the season should start looking like football again.

a lot of truth in that. probably could make the case the first two or three games will be like preseason games. Conditioning is going to be a huge issue. Two home games here where Jerry has already said the roof and doors will be open. that means it has to be the potential to be over 100 degrees on the field here vs Atlanta and Cleveland. Like the old days at Texas stadium.

Waiting until October to see what this team will really be like...well, under Garrett, we are used to that.
Hopefully it does not take that long under MM. But agree, it will take longer than usual for many teams, even ones with returning coaching staffs will take a few games.

yea it's an absurd opinion I admit. I just feel like the of the first four games this is the one they have to win. The other three will be tough. I think they are outclassed vs seattle, Atlanta's offense will do what it wants and cleveland has the weapons to put a bunch of points on the board.

JMO. I'm probably 100% wrong and they will start 4-0. That second block of games, Giants, Cardinals, Washington and the eagles seems like an easier stretch on paper. Getting 3 wins out of that group of four does not seem like to much of a stretch. The catch is they have dominated washington and new york and that will end at some point. Arizona is an odd team to me. I am not sure what to make of them. Kind of like Cleveland I guess.

anyway, I just feel like if they lose this Rams game it could domino into a really tough start.

it is absurd recent history ie 3-5 in 2018 to 10-6 and 2nd round pf the layoffs says its not how you start its who you finish, also recent history proves this in 2019 when the 3-0 hype train was quickly put out..

its odd you give credit to ATl and all their weapons on offense but two of those guys ive never heard of so you are using names and what they've done before But our Offense who was pretty darn good last year adds Lamb and thats sept under the rung/..

you actually a Cowboys fan because you are judging our competitors on paper as dangerous and us on paper as a mirage and we are in trouble if we dont beat the rams?

sounds like Hypocrisy..

everyone's 0-0 many teams have changed none had a PS and all will be dealing with the same issues especially in the nFC, lots of big changes for many teams..

well because you dont know who the falcons weapons are does not make them bad. They have a good group on offense. I am not saying Dallas is a mirage I am simply stating my feeling that a lot of sunshine pumping from the organization from April to August has created this group think that this is some kind of roster that is so talented and I simply do not see it that way. I think Seattle is better across the board and Atlanta's offense and Cleveland's offense might be well setup to score at will on this defense....if what I think this defense is actually is.

Dallas Strength has been its running game and blocking group up front that allowed Dallas to dictate the pace of the games, I currently think a recovering williams, looney at center and erving at Right Tackle is a problem. So if a team like Atlanta comes here and jumps out to a 10 or 14-0 lead it could be a real problem for this team. Think of last year's game against the Packers. Dallas offense was bad for 2.5 quarters and the defense struggled in the first half. Dallas had to be a one trick pony and the game was a laugher.

While I agree the Rams game could be a tough one and we certainly could lose , the NFL certainly is a week to week league.

And if we do lose it should get our attention and we’ll come out even more focused to avoid 0-2 at home vs Falcons before heading to Seattle. I see no worse than 1-2.

it is and it will suck but of the first four teams the rams are the weakest imo.

Atlanta is the kind of team that I can see really giving this Dallas defense all kinds of problems. Four excellent weapons in the passing game in Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage and Hayden Hurst. They have a very good offensive line of young veterans who are all healthy. They are RB by committee but I think they will be able to block Dallas ends and let Ryan stand in there and just pick apart this defense.

I just have no faith in this defense and am not sure what the offensive line will be. Dallas is a team of front runners on offense. IF they have a lead in the second half they can dictate the pace of the game and use Zeke. If they are playing catch up well history says that is not a good situation. Who knows could be a different offense this year with new coaches.
Our recent history supports we dominate equal or lesser opponents on the most part. It’s winning teams we struggle more with.

What makes us think Falcon defense can handle our offense ?

they finished 6-2 down the stretch last year. They are really talented on offense. I'm not sure where there defense will be. I know they have three excellent players up front in Mckinley, Jarrett and Fowler....an excellent linebacker in Jones and a couple of good players in the secondary. If we block those ends I am sure there will be plays to be made. My view is just coming from Dallas falling behind and chasing games.

The Rams defense is going to be a big-time test for our offense. If Dak and the boys do well it will set the tone for a really good season.

IM saying you are using OLD data to prop up the OTHER teams we play while stating our data is incomplete, so we should be worried..

no its all equal.. **** the Rams Ramsey all that credit you give him did we drop 40+ on him and his Jags team and now we have Lamb Gallup and AC? how much did he help the Jags? how about his draft pick lottery and money coming over to Rams mid season, where did the Rams finish? sure id put ramsey on Gallup and hopes he can shut him down alone, smart but lets give Gallup some credit, dudes coming on, Now then you Double AC also smart he most likely disappears as he does 8 games a season but for good reason if hes doubled, now Whos got Lamb a 3rd CB or S, good fn luck with that and all this Attention on our WRs whos got Jarwin, pollard and Zeke..?????

Pick your Poison, I trust our O to do well, Its ST which i believe are much improved with coaching and Kicker and Our D which were very inconsistent last year are improved..

come on its all hyperbole and you are fan propping up other teams by what they MIGHT have and putting down our own for pre season hype....its 0-0 and we know little about how any team will play this year..

all in all i think Rams Cowboys are a pretty even matchup and will be a good game..hope a close game give MM and his new staff a perfect opportunity to show us something late in the game and we need some creativity to win..

Wow. We are already in must win game mode on week 1?

I tend to disagree. Seahawks are a tough team also no doubt about it. But the cowboys are catching a break in that there will be no 12th man at Seattle this year.
Just like every year...every game is a must win.

umm that would mean its not about the OL whos OL can stop whos DL, so on the DL who has the advantage?

iM going Dallas with Gregory, Smith, Griffen, Poe, and Tank with Hill and Gallimore rotating in etc. thats hard to game plan for
