And get ourselves some deep help (free safety)

Throw in singleton too maybe... =/

Where the hell has Price been? Compared to his "peers" Keyshawn and Terry, he's not exactly peerless.

Has anyone watched him on TV and seen what's going on? I can only get the games on the radio here.

He isn't that expensive, and there are teams out there that need a receiver. While this guy is just sitting here collection a check waiting for Glenn to go down.

Lets at least improve our defense, and make use of him.

...on once I believe with an inside pattern. It was incomplete.

Crayton is showing to be much more comfortable at this early stage of the game and that would make sense.

It may be a bit early to judge.

unless a blockbuster offer comes along i can't see this team parting ways with price...you never know when a major injury is going to happen (knock) on wood...just ask buffalo, new england and the jets ;-)

This is the problem with people playing too much "Franchise Mode" in Madden... goofy trade scenarios like this with no possiblity in reality.

We are NOT trading a free agent we picked up for the sole purpose of insurance.

The problem wasn't Atlanta or Vick. The problem was him. He's a turd, and Dallas is just figuring that out.

And Price made a deal quickly with us because he wanted to play here. He didn't really negotiate with other teams and might have gotten a better deal than what we did..

..but he stepped up and signed here and closed the door on other teams that might have entered the bidding.

Bledsoe did the same thing when he signed.

You reward things like that with keeping them and getting them playing time. You don't take advantage and trade them at the first knee-jerk opportunity for a bag of beans and a cow.

Price is going to contribute. In fact, I see him being a big factor in the season at some point once the offense decides when to use him. I don't think the reason he isn't playing more is because he's not beating out Crayton.

It's because BP wants him to prove himself on the practice field first tot he players that he deserves the opportunities. Then when he gets the chances, it will be because he earned it, not just given it.

That makes him part of the team, not just an insurance policy. Which is how he's being looked at by most observers.

He's actually the key missing element needed to compliment Glenn at WR.

Just wait. The best thing is that we all hope for the WR's to stay healthy and then we add Price with fresh legs shortly. Might be a game deciding move for us when needed.

Peerless turned down the patriots and other teams where he would have gotten significant playing time....that should speak volumes about his feelings towards bledsoe...he wanted to be reunited with him so he could have a season like 02'....i don't think its too late at all for him to be a huge factor this season, he just needs to be patient.

If you sign a free agent with multiple opportunities to a one year convtract and trade him after a few weeks, then free agents won't want to sign with you in the future. This would be a foolish thing to do (for the long term annway)

We could package Price and A-Train to Greenbay for Najah Davenport then we would have a decent kick return option to boot.

Ahh Fantasy Football....:eekmouse:Ooops!

Price isn't going to be traded. Hate to throw water on this dream.

Assume for a second we could... that would KILL our ability to sign free agents in the future... who wants to come to a new team, just to be traded (perhaps to somewhere the player would REALLY rather not play) a month later??

It would be a classic case of penny wise, pound foolish... and the same truth is still in play here as it was when Price was signed, if the Cowboys lose just ONE WR, and have no Peerless Price waiting in the wings, the offense will likely go in the tank...
