Can you believe it's only 6 weeks until TC?

Read that in the paper, and didn't even realize it.

Mavs basketball and a slightly above average Rangers team has distracted me long enough that TC is just around the corner.

Funny thing is, even with the Mavs in the freaking NBA finals just about everyone I talk to (and myself) thinks it's nice and all, but football season is getting so close!

It can't get here soon enough.

I haven't been more excited about this season than any other season in a long time. And ask my friends, I don't get excited about a whole lot. I have my reservations, but I am looking forward to it.

Here's to no signficant injuries for the entire season.

I believe (according to the NFL Network) there are only 80 days until the season opener in Pittsburgh.

I was once like y'all, unable to wait.

You've just got to learn to atleast occupy yourself with other sports. While obviously all other sports are in most ways inferior to the NFL, there is redeeming value in them.

And if all else fails, start betting on them...that makes them a lot more interesting.

Living for football 365 is maddening during the 200 some odd days without it.

And that's why I can say it's only 6 weeks. It seems like the draft wasn't that long ago......

6 more weeks of nonsense articles dragged from nowhere, based on very tenuous, dated information...

6 more weeks of BP silence....

:banghead:

Still, I guess it gives me 6 more weeks to work on the wife and concoct better reasons for why I should be allowed to visit Oxnard again.

:laugh1:

I've been toughing it out with Basketball and Hockey but both are about over and that only leaves Soccer (boring) and Baseball (intolerable). Really...if I had a single either/or choice between watching a baseball game and getting a root canal the dentist would be making some money.

After 3-4 years of not watching a complete NBA games, watching these finals, reminded me why I don't like NBA that much anymore. We all talk about NFL refs blowing it etc., but man, I don't know anything about Baseball, but I don't know where else refs decide games consistantly than in NBA.

Actually it seems to progressively worse since Jordan years ( I was a big time Jordan fan, and his last couple years during their championship run, he stopped getting the calls he normally used to get during their first three runs).

But can't wait for TC. After this weekend it will be a real slow time for sports fans, especially ones who don't care for Baseball at all.

Sooner or later, someone is bound to get hurt.

Better than Avezzano telling everything we were doing to the press.

I don't know. I used to like knowing the bad plays that weren't going to work, because the opposing team already knew a lot about the game plan.

Parcells silence is still defeaning. Galloway and JFE tell me that it's because Parcells never wanted Owens. They are objective reporters with no agendas.

Yes, the Mavs are taking away that long June dry spell for me too. And will take up this week also. If they win, that will take up talk next week.

GO MAVS !!!!!

if you ask me, 6 weeks is too long to wait, especially when football is the only sport I watch
