Can you feel it? You know that "gut feeling" we have that we never understand. That feeling of when something good is coming. Or that feeling when you know you are about to be hit by something you didn't see coming.
Last year, I had no feeling at all. I bought into all of the media hype about our team. I coasted in with high expectations, riding the momentum of a 13-3 season that included a playoff loss I blamed on a certain receiver (still mad at you Crayton). I watched our team fight through some tough injuries, play Pittsburgh tough, beat New York, then put up the lamest performance I have ever seen any talented Cowboy team put in in the closing of our stadium, in front of the legends who have paved the way for this dynasty (still can't believe the Ravens got 2 80+ yard touchdown runs as we were trying to come back). The feeling after that game was hopelessness. Even after that game, we were still fighting for a playoff spot, but I felt hopeless. We all know how that last game turned out.
I went into the offseason with that hopeless feeling. I truly die hard for our team. It hurts feeling hopeless. Then something started to change. A shift began to happen in my psyche. I began to feel something I hadn't felt since the 07 season.
Say what you will, but our front office made some smart moves. There is a phrase out there that say "less is more". Getting rid of 81 and the other talented thugs will make a difference. Locker room chemistry has been discussed on this board many times. As true fans, I hope you can see it. But I feel something coming.
Against the Titans Niners, I saw a tea, poised for good things. I saw ball control, I saw execution, I saw a defense that can limit teams. (I also saw too many damn penalties but that's a point for another day). But as I witnessed these things, I felt something.
I can sense a team that is focused. I can sense the determination of a group of men that the league is sleeping on. I can sense the tide starting to turn as we speak. As the mediots make their projections and share their opinions that are full of crap, I want you all to know tat I can feel it.
If you can feel it, can I get an Amen!
