The Lions were in a much different position than Cowboys as far as playoff seeding. It was the right move to go for the win, get off the field and not take further injury risk. How do the Dolphins feel about losing Chubb during garbage time?

The Lions were still in the running for a 1st place seed, it would take a 9er loss, but there's still a shot if the 9ers stumble. Losing a player during garbage time is a whole lot different than a chance to go to OT and still win the game.

it's sad that the narrative isn't about Jimmy entering the ROH, or CeeDee, instead its all about the Refs botching the game!! making everyone feel like we didn't earn the W.

Well, we did get fortunate at the end.

Hard to praise a team that gave up the winning TD and 2 point conversation at the end at home and got saved by a miscue from someone. Whether it was the officials or the Lions.

If this happened to Dallas the media would be blaming the Cowboys for not making it clear to the refs who was eligible. Then they would blame the coaches. But I don't think McCarthy would have gone for it from the 7. I don't believe he would have gone for 2 the first time.

I do know the refs wouldn't have been demoted
Don't let the media and TV talking heads fool you.
The demotion was due to the botched tripping penalty the caused
this debacle. Without that call, it's 2nd down 3 yards to go for Dallas.
