If you want, NFL.com has a subscription service where you can watch games after-the-fact.

Think all games are on posted my Monday. Damn good quality but you have to wait to get it.

Yeah i dont know about that, i would consider it but i dont think i could avoid hearing or seeing details of the game before i got to watch it.

Gotcha! youd think the nfl or someone would start making something like that where you subscribe and watch the games online because i know i sure would pay some cash to do that.

Until someone breaks DirecTV's monopoly, I don't think we're going to see choice like that. Makes sense to you, me and everyone but DirecTV who pours money into the NFL to keep the rights.

I've purchased it for the last two years.

It's like 25 bucks and you get every game of every week. Pretty solid.

I pay directv's nasty ransoms for the sunday ticket. I do consider dropping it since it seems like so many of the cowboys games will be on regular tv anyway. But i say that every year and yet every year i keep paying it.

I think channelsurfing.net or sopcast is going to be the only "free" way to watch online unless you know someone who is a to go customer and they are willing to let you use their acct info.

Is it considered stealing to stream the games on sopcast since it is being broadcasted for free somewhere anyway. Are you stealing because you dont live in a certain state? With a pay per view event its more black and white.

I might get it too, even if i dont rely on it to watch the game for the first time it would be nice to go back and rewatch it plus see the other games.

It's like $40 for the entire season, the quality is great and it is the entire game broadcast without the commercials of all the games. The games are available as soon as the sunday night game ends.

I've subscribed to it for the last two years as well. They also reduce the price to $20 by about week 6 or 7.

Thanks for the heads up, mamacita. Just got off the phone and also got the $20.00 off per month (don't have much interest in the Ticket to Go package, so I didn't even ask).

Anyhoo, Thanks again!;)
You're welcome. Someone told me about it in the Off Topic zone. We should all spread the word.

The NFL could learn a few things from MLB. The MLB Network runs circles around the NFL Network in both content and quality and most cable companies carry it. MLB has the online MLBTV.com service where you can subscribe and watch any game you want. The quality of the streams is near HD.

I am willing to bet that if the NFL made it's games legally available online at the quality that MLBTV gives us, they would make alot more money than their little sweetheart deal with DTV. Personally, I would be willing to pay the same for high quality online games as I would pay for the NFL Ticket.

Ive been a Sunday Ticket subscriber since 1999. Just called specialized programming, and was told there are no more discounts or $20 off per month offers. It's still worth it to me, but I struck out this time. Not my day, I guess!

I had Sunday Ticket for the last 3 seasons but I'm tired of the high price and got rid of it this year.

Why they don't allow you to buy a "Cowboys" package and just get the games you want to see is beyond me.. $300 so I can watch the Browns vs. Seahawks?

If it was $100 for just the Cowboys games I'd be in but $300 every year seems excessive.

There are always websites where you can watch any game you want. It may not be in HD. BUt they are all free free. F The Ticket. Dallas games are usually televised but if they are not I can always watch them on the web. AND hook a camputer up the TV and watch it 4 FREE!!

Do your homework in Google.

Only one person on at a time. I do have a Slingbox though that has the ability to broadcast to multiple people.

And like I said, SopCast just isn't the same. Quality is often very poor, and the lag can be just as bad. It's a last-case scenario that I haven't used in two years.

What exactly is a Slingbox? I'd be willing to send you some money via paypal if you can get a good online feed.

You have to call in and say 'Cancel' a few times to get a customer retention rep. They will do more for you than the 'front line' phone reps.

Call back and tell them uyou want to speak to a retention specialist. Let them know that you're seriously considering switching to DISH Network because they are cheaper and you won't be able to afford NFLST anyway at the current price.

This is great news!

The lone drawback, albeit a big one, of a promotion I received recently at work is that I now have to be there on Sundays. I do have Mondays off though and I'll just use NFL rewind to create a Sunday atmosphere at my house.

Awesome, thx for the info guys!

It basically allows people that I allow to watch whatever I'm watching via the internet.

I have never had Sunday Ticket before, but I'm calling DirecTV now to inquire about ordering it.

I don't have DirecTV cable and have no interest in switching, but I've heard that it's possible to order Sunday Ticket "a la carte"... as in, install the dish and get Sunday Ticket with nothing else.

My question is: what else should I ask for when I call? I remember hearing that they had some features (Superfan?) that were a pretty sweet hook-up that they'd only include if you ask for it. Anything else I should ask for/say?

I'm amped about the possibility of getting Sunday Ticket. I live in the SF Bay Area and have had to do the sports bar thing anytime the Cowboys aren't on local TV for ages... sucks.

It's not cheap, but IMHO, Sunday Ticket is worth every cent I pay.

skinscalper, Thanks, Ill give that a try. I'd think after 10 years of paying their price increases, they should offer the promotional discount to you. But, no. :starspin
