Canelo or Julio Cesar Chavez

That weight class is fun to watch. This fight ends in a knockout.

Mannnnn.... it's possible lol

Canelo knocks out Chavez.

I've watched both of their careers.

Chavez - a chip off the old Julio Cesar Chavez block for sure. He was ever so close to pulling off his very own Meldrick Taylor-Type comeback against Sergio Martinez.... he jussssssst missed it!

I'll know for sure after this fight but it seems he is missing "it".... the "it" that his legendary father had.

********

Canelo - He reminds me more of JCC senior. I think even the great Chavez sees it too.

I wanted more out of JCC Jr... but I don't see it.

Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet's get ready to rummmmmmmmmmble.... itttttttttttttttt's showtime!

Chaves has fought a lot of stiffs. Alvarez has fought much stiffer competition. If l was betting on it...I would take Canelo. Chavez will come out punching and set the pace. Watch for the counter...

Canelo easily. Chavez couldn't even look him in the eye during that HBO Faceoff episode.
One of my cousins in Mexico used to know Chavez Sr. Said he used to pour salt water on his face as he sun bathed to make his skin leathery. That's why he was so hard to cut. Don't know if that was true or just beer talk, but I thought it was interesting. What do you think @haleyrules , does that work?

lol. I have known boys that tried that...and others that had surgury to shave any protruding facial bones!! The best way to avoid cuts...is to learn defense and avoid being hit!!

Ive taken a few punches in the face, I'd like to think I've given a few more than I received. Coaches do a lot of drinking and trash talking. Lots of fun,but I think I'm getting to,old for that nowadays. Lol

I like heavyweight boxing, don't normally watch the midgets, but I might just watch this fight. Any thoughts?

I like the heavyweights you.

Did you see klitschko vs. Joshua?

I was never a big fan of either brother.
Wladimir and his10 reign has been dull. Got knocked out cold a few times.

I actually was rooting for him in this last fight.
After he got knocked down... if Joshua didn't punch himself out he would have ko'd him then.

But klitchko recovered and knocked Joshua down. He didn't really punch himself out... he just didn't finish.
A little fatigued but more missing and being a little apprehensive.

He could have really altered his legacy there. He knew it too.

Its to bad Kltchko is in his 40s, could have been an interesting rematch.

I like Canelo, but he is overcoming an injury and not sure if he comes back as powerful. If he does Chazez doesn't stand a chance.Depends on that injury. My verdict is not all healed up, goes the distance and they have a 2nd fight because this could become a draw.

Well, Chavez was intimidated and didn't put up much of a fight. Heck, l thought he would come out and try to push Alvarez into the ropes...nothing...fought timid and just tried to survive. His only shot was pressure but it seemed he was afraid of the counter. Chavez was fighting with his mouth open and legs worn out after the 5th. Heck, Alvarez hit him with any and every punch he tried, including right leads. Unreal. Fights are won from within.
