I'd like to see you not get that chance, but even if we were to win out, some of you would itch and moan about the way we won out, so I know it's just not a possibility.

Out of curiosity, what record did you expect from this team this year, anyway? It looks like you're now expecting 8-8 and the right to overreact to each loss. How does that 8-8 actually correlate with your expectation to begin with? You don't strike me as the kind of guy who expected very much from the team in the first place, so it's unclear to me what exactly you're so disappointed with.

You're off base. If you check the official prediction thread I predicted 12-4 or 11-5 I cant recall which one, but feel free to search and verify. But you should see why through these first 4 games where my disappointment comes from when you look at what I projected them to do.

Going 12-4. We've heard it time and time before, but looking at the talent on the roster, looking at individuals on this team who rank at the top 5 of their positions in the league..I just think now's the time

You're off base. If you check the official prediction thread I predicted 12-4 or 11-5 I cant recall which one, but feel free to search and verify. But you should see why through these first 4 games where my disappointment comes from when you look at what I projected them to do.

Well, that makes some sense, then. I have to say, I'm shocked that you expected this team to be 12-4 with the amount of off-season complaining you did this year. Given that you had such high expectations, though, I understand better why you're so frustrated.

Myself, I've thought this was a 10-6 team each of the last three seasons. I've been bummed each of the last two years watching the team give up at least two (more than two, actually) games a season I thought they could or should have won, but, relatively speaking, our results haven't been so much out of line with my expectations. We're a game back of where I'd hoped to be this year already in the first quarter, but with so much time left, I prefer just to nurse my wounds in relative quiet. The collapse of our passing defense last weekend did bother me quite a bit, though. I'm anxious to see how we defense another great passing offense this weekend because, more even than the outcome of the game, I think the defensive performance here will be a barometer of our ability to hang with good teams when it counts. We'll see how it goes.

Just like you and everyone else here, I saw this team blow game a game here, blow a game there, the last 2 years. And the season always ends in catastrophe. I thought this was the year to the right the ship, we should be a 4-0 ball club right now, at the very least 3-1, on track to win 12 games. Thats a fact. But we cant deal with shoulda couldas. Instead we're 2-2 and some posters here even had the audacity to suggest that one of those losses would somehow "help us" in the long run. I'm a fan so I'm gonna be here, I'm not going anywhere. When this team plays well I'll be the first to praise them, and when they stink up the joint like they did last Sunday, I'll have no problem letting anybody know about it.

Not at all. It's entirely possible to criticize without complaining. And it's also appropriate to complain about things you don't like. That's what the forum is for. You should realize, though, if you're posting a steady diet of complaints in a place where people largely come because they're excited about their football team, your commentary is going to be characterized for what it is.

I will say that I"m actually shocked that you thought you were in for a 12-4 season this year, because everything from your posting history to your avatar screams 'unhappy with the direction of this team.' I think the world of alot of the players on this team, alot of them. Thats why my prediction was what it was. That's self explanatory. This management? Not so much. Which is why my avi is what it is. I'm happy to know my posts and posting history is not falling on deaf ears however

That's fair. I have a hard time sorting some of the Rowdy's and some of the Ban-Jerry's, but I try. I'm the worst when it comes to paying attention to who I'm posting with, anyway.
