Can't he just shut up?

LOL. You whine in this post about as much as TO supposedly whined in his interview. Don't you find that a little ironic? I don't understand why you guys get so angry concerning his behavior. He's a known commodity. He's not doing much of anything to hurt the team. Just roll your eyes and ignore him.

True, my fear was when he came here that he would do or say things that he was accused of in Philly & SF.

He hasn't, ... not even close.

Rolls your eyes and ignore the rest.

Very true, ... not me.

But one would think that if you went to the trouble of posting something, that you would try to make it intelligent enough to be heard.

Although some may have a personal dislike for the guy based on prior behavior it does not make their post unintelligent.

Anytime you try to convince somebody on a message board of something you believe, you are usually wasting your finger use, but you still like to get your opinion out there I guess.

It was the childish name-calling that I was referring to.

I understand that a bit but man, if the shoe fits.....

The guy has serious issues, anyone who denies that is really not seeing the situation as it is.

It is just a ploy for attention, it may not be because he is so full of himself that he needs everyone to see him, but more of the fact that his insecurities lead him to trying to defend himself at every turn and calling out snitches.

He is a different type than the Chad Johnsons of the NFL who just like to talk up themselves to make themselves bigger than they really are. I don't think I really realized that until he got here. Since he has gotten here it has become pretty apparent at what has become his downfall over the years.

That one article that was posted here from a writer from ESPN who went into depth about TO's history really shed some light on some things and was very good IMO.

If he is a problem within the team, somebody in authority should say something and they are stupid not to.

maybe it's because he's not a problem

Yes, like eveyone else, he does have his issues, but I am not sure they are serious.

Serious would be life-threatening, not sophomoric.

And as far as snitches, I wonder how each of us would respond if we felt someone in our company or organization was telling stuff about us that was suppossed to stay in house. Some of us may not respond as much, but others would respond moreso than Owens I am sure.

I don't recall the article you allude to, but since it was from ESPN I may have just ignored it.

Good point, but my post was directed at those that think he is such a huge distraction.

it's the same people, just stop trying

for your sake :)

This T.O. talking stuff isn't that important, I believe that most of the Players and Coaches just ignore it, it's the media and T.O. haters that cling to everything he says. I really think that Parcells pays no attention to it at all.

some of our players, if not most, are having a good 'ole time at the media's expense, this is probably as big a joke to them as it is serious to the media and fans

If it make you feel better I would take TO over Randy Moss. :laugh2:
Don't laugh.

I have shaken my head in disbelief and walked away from my keyboard when some of the anti-Owens posters have said that they want to get rid of Owens and replace him with Randy Moss and then everything would be OK.

:lmao:

No it would actually be worse. Many things I don't like about TO but the pouting routine by Moss and his I don't care attitude he shows and is currently showing in Oakland would be a much worse situation for Dallas

Well the post is mute because T.O. is here for now. i do think he is gone but WV you should stop defending him because its not that he is not affecting the team but the fact that the coach and team have to ignore it should be the issue. Thats just dumb that you have to ignore his comments so that it wont be a distraction. T.O. is not playing the media and they are not getting sucked. They are doing what they are paid to do. T.O. is just being stupid for playing their game. And he is the one who is losing.

My prediction ( and you heard it here first) is that T.O. will be released in February for sure. No matter if BP retires or not. The new coach would not need the distractions of coaching a new team and babysitting Owens. Too much to ask for a new coach who will have to deal with high expectations and replacing a legend like Parcells. JJ understands that much about the NFL. If not a new coach then certainly BP will not endure another season of the T.O. drama. Although is has been very good in front of the camera to hold his emotions and keep his card close to his chest, you can only imagine how he feels deep down and what he is saying behind the scenes. Parcells normally has full control of his team and will call players out if they talk too much in the media. But he knows that the Owens situation is a touchy one and will not cross the line because he has a team to worry about. But next season he know he can replace him. Belichik should be the perfect example ( and a Parcells disciple) of how one player can be replaced in a good system as long as you have your Qb and defense in place. In their three out of four run every season a player was lost in either free agency or injuries and yet they kept winning. Star players like terry Glenn, Lawer Milroy, Givens, Ty law.....star players that were replace. And all they wanted was money. This Owens guys has the money but wants (have we even figured it out what he wants). Like I said, THE ORIGINAL PARCELL will look at the situation and tell JJ that Owens is good.... but still not worth it.

The prediction is that Owens will be releasd in February ( SB or not) and signed by Synder for about three years with a 10 million signing bonus. Syner will just love the attention that will be received and Gibbs will be responsible for babysitting duties. To make a splash like that and be able to shove it in their face will be classic for Syner. Hell Snyder may give him 12 million to just shut up and play. A bonus if he doesnt do any interviews and it will be know as the T.O. clause.

The hype will be they will be in the second year of their new offense and with Moss on the other side and Randle El in the slot ,T.O. will have the opportunity to shine in a big market again. Plus he will get his money!

You heard it hear first.

There you have it, ... someone write that down. :D

You would think that the passes he has dropped would have knocked his ego down a few notches. Sadly, that is not the case. His running his head is not what is hurting this team. Let him talk. His dropping that third quarter TD pass from Romo in Washington is another story. If he catches that one, that blocked field goal never happens. Big time players make big time plays. The only thing big about TO is his mouth.
