Can't wait for Newman

I can't wait to see Terence Newman back out there. Granted he's fragile but he's been a solid corner for us for a long time. Adding him as a weapon on defense given how the rest of the secondary has responded is heartening. I feel like we bump everyone down a spot on the depth chart and it makes our team that much deeper and more talented.

Rob Ryan's defense just added another part and its no small piece. Newman is a legitimate starting corner in this league which will help a lot when we pin our ears back and blitz.

There are two specific things i'm looking forward to. Jenkins not having the pressure of dealing with his injuries and being the only corner on the field capable of covering someone AND getting to see Newman out there with safeties who can actually provide.....SAFETY

It's been a while since we've seen Newman play with that kind of help behind him.

Imagine what it'll be like when Scandrick is back -- this defense will be scary (hell, it's already scary!)

Rob Ryan said it best "He's such a talented guy...It's outstanding to get him back. He's looked really good this week. I think he's full strength. Adding another great player to our defense is going to be great." "We're looking for him to be outstanding in our scheme...He can do everything."

I agree, when healthy TNew is a very good corner and it should be fun to see how he does not just with decent safeties but with a very good pass rush forcing QB's to rush passes and throw while getting hit.

Rob Ryan would say that I was excellent and outstanding... I don't put too much stock in his words, more so his actions and how his defense delivers.

That said I'm also excited about Newman. I feel like having a guy who is legit in coverage will go a long way. I don't think we'll spread as thin as we have been in past games. Not to mention the match ups should work out much better for us.

I don't know why everyone suddenly thinks they are the team to beat in the NFC East..

I can't wait til the Commanders come down to reality. Hopefully we can show that on Monday.

Well, we certainly could use his help. I hope he can put this groin issue behind him and stay relatively healthy this season.
