To the original question, I don't think Canty's knowledge of our scheme will matter much. Our offensive philosophy has changed quite a bit from last season for a number of reasons (i.e. the emergence of Bennett, the release of T.O., the return of Felix, the heat on Garrett to fully utilize all his weapons, etc.). I don't think Canty has much more insight into our game plan than Osi does. Where Canty might help is to point out weak parts of a particular player's game. But, even that isn't rock solid because the Giants play us twice a year. They've figured us out as much as we've figured them out. That's why division games typically are less about out scheming your opponent, and more about winning your matchups. You obviously scheme to create mismatches, but neither team is going to walk away saying "I had no idea they were going to do that."
They both know each other's strengths and weaknesses and the general game plan that they will try to employ. It's not often that the opposing coordinator is caught completely off-guard.
