Cap Formula?

That’s a half-truth. The year before Brady fell into his lap, he was 5-11 with pro bowler Bledsoe. Before that, he was the Browns coach for 5 seasons and made the playoffs once.

He’s still the best in the game today. But he is not infallible. Tom Brady makes him infallible. It’s the combination that works. How many of his 13-6 were against hapless AFC east teams? 6 in 2008 alone, 2 more in 2016.

Put Belichick on the 2019 Giants and he still loses 10+ games.
That's assuming he walks in with their talent. And he'd still get more wins with that than any other HC.

This bringing up CLE is laughable. Anyone seen Meg Ryan lately? Man, she sure looked a lot different when Belichick coached in CLE. And those ignorant to the facts should realize he did not pick that talent, which is why he spurned the Jets for the Pats, he knew he would get control. The irony of that is it was a Parcells set up, the same Parcells that left the Giants because of talent disputes with George Young. Who was Belichick's DC in CLE? Nick Saban, go ahead and bring up CLE.

Brady may be the best ever but that doesn't mean Belichick can't get another to execute his offense and that is his offense. While he is a D guy, that's the same offense they've been running through every OC he's had and he has yet for one of his coordinators to be able to own him or do what they did for him as well anyplace else.

The man has a 74% win % in the regular season and 75% in the playoffs, go ahead and play the Brady card. Brady is Brady because of Belichick, not the other way around.

Posters who have to excuse his success by using Brady or point out 20 freakin' years ago are either biased against him or just football ignorant. Take a look at his D and rush ranking every year they've been, go ahead, I'll wait. Save you the time, top 10 every time. The QB's two best friends, unless you count the smarter HC as the 3rd one, and it's all about the QB. Ridiculous.

It is an unprovable point, but the proof is in the only guy to figure out how to make it work and part of that was making his QB take a Belichick friendly deal. I laugh when I see posters saying "good luck with the next guy taking that deal". Not all are just about the salary, they understand the availability of ancillary money when you're the Pats QB. And if they don't, they have agents that do.

Every single team has a cap formula lol.

Brady can take less money because the Pats pay his company, TB12. It's cap circumvention but the league lets it happen.
