Check in the Daily Zone...I think AdamJT13 had a thread, maybe stickied, that was talking about the cap.

How much of a cap hit you think teams that made those 'crazy' offers experienced?

We see big numbers but the cap reduction would be what 6-8 million? Or is it the signing bonus? Not schooled with caps

ok sorry it is 22 mil. given these contract that have been given out. say dallas does sign 2 OL. thats probably 10 mil gone. as the first yr of these guys contract will probably bein in the 5 mil range and escalate every yr. i can live with that. i say live with the price of todays game and sign davis and colombo. you have to pay the price for talent in todays game. 12 mil is still a nice amount of money to have. take into account dallas will probably have to set aside 4 mil for rookie contracts. thats 8 mil, and add another 2 mil is it for riveras release after june 1? that 10 mil to resign romo or go after another Fa is needed. dallas is fine.

We have to look beyond this year too guys...we have to sign Newman next year I think (note...see Clements contract), and Romo.

I have to be honest...I would rather go get Peek, and a back up QB...then hit CB/FS, and oline hard and deep in the draft. Meaning two OG, and at least one OT...fairly high.

I think we've got to pick up atleast one position on the OL in FA, either OG or OT. Doesn't necessarily have to be Davis or Colombo, but we've got to pick up at least 1 player who is starting material.

As for Peek, fine, but we can also look at Polk if we're being economical. And a back up QB shouldn't break the bank either.

Polk is another option I agree.

I would like to sign one FA on the oline as well, but these prices are nuts.

I wonder what trade options are out there for oline?

I think if we can take care of the OT position in FA, we'll be o.k.

Petigout (sp?) mabye? I don't know if he's recovered from his injury. But, yes, Colombo is probably the best option right now.
