What is RKG (Right Kind of Guy)?

Micah Parsons: Not an RKG.
- No legal or significant off-field issues but not a good locker-room guy.
-Not focused on winning.

Mike Irvin: Ultimate RKG.
- Emotional leader of 3 Super Bowl Winning teams.
- Tons of off-field and legal issues.
- Hated losing as much as any player I've seen.

Differentiating them in the draft or prior to handing them a big contract is critical.
I love this. It just shows that ultimately the RKG comes down to one thing..... winning.

I think they might have caved and paid him if he didn't act like this, that's the best part about it - he did everything to himself.
I also feel strongly they would have caved if this didn’t happen. They always cave. Why would they not with him? I believe strongly if he would have participated in TC they would have resigned him at the beginning of the season or during the season. I think the longer he had a “back issue” and was doing that soft hold out (or hold in) the angrier everyone became. Him not participating became a massive distraction. And don’t forget that long tweet he made talking about “back room deals”. Then this happened and it ended his Cowboys career.

It’s a shame because I also believe that Jerry wanted him here and he wanted to stay here. O well I feel we have an overall better defense a year later so life goes on.
