windward;3061825 said:You make an awful amount of assumptions. Carolina is mediocre not the dregs of the league.
Maybe they were 0-3 because they played three better teams to start the year?
Again you're making assumptions.Hoofbite;3061872 said:Who cares? We're not talking about whether Carolina is the worst team in the league or not. Your initial post looked a lot like someone trying refute the notion that Dallas hasn't won a lot of games against good teams. Mediocre doesn't do that.

Just because I think x/= a doesn't mean that x=b.
I think you fail to understand this elementary concept.
Carolina is not a "crap" team. They are about league average.Hoofbite;3061901 said:So what were you saying in your initial post?

It was referential to the notion that Carolina was one of the worst teams in the league, thereby devaluing what the Cowboys have done so far.Hoofbite;3061908 said:So why'd you throw the part about Dallas beating them in there?

This does not mean I'm refuting the notion we have not beat a lot of good teams. It is saying that the amount of bad teams we've beaten is lesser than previously assumed by many. (HH31 said as much in this very thread, and others have said so as well. Carolina beat Arizona and has hung with Atlanta and New Orleans. This demonstrates they are not a "crap" team. They are average.)
windward;3061827 said:Yeah, I can.
Carolina is not as bad as people want to make them out to be.
To me it doesn't. I'm just making an observationHoofbite;3061934 said:Is the difference between "bad" and "mediocre" against 1 team so great that its really changes that "opponent" perception over the course of half a season?
I don't think it does.
Meanwhile, possibly one of the worst challenges ever. Burned 2 timeouts on it.l
No. They lost to three pretty good teams.The30YardSlant;3061941 said:They were at the time

Not everybody swings like a pendulum from week to week based on the week's events
They had a chance to tie the game vs Atlanta on the last play.The30YardSlant;3061968 said:They got destroyed by two good teams, barely lost to us, then barely beat the two worst teams in football, and got demolished by the Bills until finally coming up with an impressive win last week.
They were awful when they played us, and continued to be awful until the last two weeks
