Scout Inc.'s Kevin Weidl says Princeton DT Caraun Reid "has a nice quickness/power combo."
"Heavy handed dude," he wrote after watching Reid's game gapes. "Played with more consistent pad level and leverage as a senior." Reid is about to become just the third Princeton player drafted since 1990. The Ivy Leaguer is one of Rotoworld's favorite small school prospects. There's a chance he could sneak into the draft's second day. Mar 22 - 6:19 PM

One of the guys over at BTB seemed to think he was on the Cowboys radar.

Bengals DL coach Jay Hayes put Princeton DT Caraun Reid through his positional drills at Princeton's pro day on Friday.

Cincinnati is in the market for defensive line help; according to NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah, it is their greatest need. Reid (6-foot-2, 305 pounds) ran the forty in 4.85 and 4.91 seconds at last week's event. He leaped to a 27 1/2-inch vertical, and decided to keep the rest of his numbers from the combine. He should fall in the Rds. 3-5 range in May.

If you can trust the Pro day time 4.85 is nice for a 300 pounder.

Yeah Reid is very popular around here. He is right there in the discussion for next best 3 tech option for us after the top 4 1st round guys go.

I agree. He could be a decent 3 but a very good 1.

I think he can play either. It's a matter of keeping his weight on the low size if he's going to be a 3 or keeping it on the higher side if he's going to be a 1.

Who are your top 4? Just curious. I don't watch much college ball, so I don't really know who's a true 3 or a true 1.

I actually should have said 3. Donald, Jernigan and Hageman. Some will give you a big stink about putting Jernigan in there but I think he's talented enough to do everything well at either spot. After that it would be Tuitt, Easley, Quarles, and Reid as the 2nd tier.... All in my opinion of course.

If he's available in the fourth and cowboys haven't addressed the tackle position, I leave 4:59 seconds on the draft timer and make the pick. In the third rd, I might leave 4:50.

I really like the guy too. IMO he could play either spot (1 or 3).

I don't think he'll make it out of the 3rd though and I think he has a shot at going late in the 2nd. If he is there in the 3rd and we still need a DT, I hope they take the guy. I really, really like him in this defense.

There are a number of DT's I'd love to see the Cowboys draft in May, Reid's on the list.

Give me Jernigen in the 1st and Reid in the 3rd and move Crawford to DE. That's a big, fast Dline and I will take those odds all day long.
