Will dobbs have time to throw to him?
Cards coaches have to be very good and innovative to compete, otherwise another boring mismatch.
I agree. The Cowboys pass defense is all about the pass rush. If they are harassing the QB all day, then it will be a mismatch. But if the Cards can some how clog everything up and make a pocket, I think the Cowboys CBs can be exposed by speedy receivers.

I get some are "unimpressed" (for lack of a better term) with our offense, but i will say this again, FOR THIS TEAM so far they are doing exactly what they need to do..TOP, expected points per drive..basically eating clock and scoring.. THAT IS the winning formula for this offense with this defense. There will be a game/games where the offense needs to open it up but so far they have done EXACTLY what the game has called for to get the win... there is no other way to look at it.

It's about getting the ball out quick, guess we won't be going deep much!
That’s the design of the offense. So far it’s eliminated turnovers. However, I’m hoping as the season progresses we take more shots down the field. Right now it’s a lot of short to intermediate routes. We would like to see the offense become a little more explosive.

Our offense just getting the motor started. Not even close to being warm yet.

But yeah, need to stretch the field. Cooks being back should help.
We just have to hope we don’t lose CeeDee this season.

I think alot of that is by design. Obviously we try to score every time we have the ball, but because the defense has been so good we are playing risk averse offensive football. There are more shots to take.

Also I think our offense played really well against that Jets defense. I've seen way too many episodes of complete disfunction when we go up against a dominant defense. I never had that feeling this game. We played patient football and put up points when we really needed to. For example, the drive after Wilson's house call was a gorgeous answer.
The offense has been efficient. I do believe how we’ve been playing defensively has dictated the conservative approach we’ve taken offensively so far. Once we start playing better teams, we’re going to have to start going more vertical to try and stretch the field.

After the first time Dobbs is hit, he will begin to make business decisions.

I wonder how many teams are performing up to championship caliber after two games. No other team has a larger scoring margin because the Cowboys are #1 in scoring and #1 in preventing the opponent from scoring. This leads me to believe that no team is performing better, whether that is championship caliber or not.
The team has performed at a championship level, but the redzone offense needs to improve. We can’t keep settling for FG’s and the defense isn’t going to be able to force turnovers every week. At some point we’re going to need some big plays offensively.

Let me correct you our offense is ranked 18th. Our defense is ranked number one.
They rank 2nd in the most important stat:

% points scored per drive at 57.1%

Thats the important one they score points on drives.. that is exactly what you want from this offense... it doesnt need to be flashy, it needs to result in points so the other team has to press against a very good defense.

Like I said, it’s been efficient and we’re putting up points. One thing that’s help has been the takeaways which has given us some short fields. Would just like to see us get more efficient in the redzone. I think we can all agree to that.

yes I would love to see the FG's be TD's, but when your up 14 points going to 17 is major vs Offenses that are getting hammered. I think this offense has RZ plays we have not seen because the HC is doing exactly what he said he would do..he is going to drive the ball and score and turn the game back over to the D..if its a closer game i bet we see a much more aggressive RZ offense.

Absolutely, the Jets were a good test, BUT they never had to press. Eventually we will likely need to keep up with a higher scoring game. Although this defense is ridunkulous and it's hard to think of anyone running up a score on us currently. I'd still like to see the offense ungoverned.
