Does Micah operate as the QB spy or do play our normal rush 5 and cover?

Kearse on TE?

With the secondary filling out strong for cornerbacks and safeties, Parsons will have great flexability.

Then the Cardinals are missing their #1 receiver for the rest of the regular season. One receiver can easily be taken out of the equations. The box arena should be very intense for the Cowboys.

Their gonna run down Kyler Murray with heavy pressure.

I think Murray and Cards will underestimate Micah’s speed. There could be some big loss in sack yardage there. As I noticed Murray seems to run backwards a lot, before he throws the ball. Or then runs up to throw it.

Dallas speed on defense will get to him or cause errant passes.
Just hope they can contain him enough to prevent the bigger plays for the ones he does escapee from. Won’t be able to contain him every play.

But I think they can get to him enough.

That’s a good question about a spy on Murray. He definitely poses some issues for the defense.

I’m sure they will put a spy on him, at least some of the time… but will it be Micah? Probably on many snaps but they also will want him coming off of the edge on some plays. Quinn will mix it up, I’m sure.

I think Jourdan Lewis might get some time spying Murray. He has quickness to match up with Kyler’s jitterbug running style and he is a really good tackler. The spy just needs to slow him down while the pursuit gets him from behind. Parsons and Gregory will get to him fast if Lewis can make him hesitate.

They’ll also be striving to stay in their rush lanes to contain him, and likely playing a lot of zone to keep their eyes on the QB. I would probably play a zone with the corners playing up at the snap to make sure the WR’s didn’t get a free release. Harass them at the snap, then release them and drop into your zone. I’d want Murray to have to hold on to the ball longer and not give him an escape lane.

As for Kearse, yeah I think he’ll be on Ertz some. I wouldn’t put him as the spy though… he’s just too tall and won’t have the quickness and change of direction to contain Murray, IMO.

It won’t be easy to contain him but that’s probably what I’d try to do to start the game.

I'm just not worried. It should be a closer game then last but we are much better then them. This game could be one of those games where Parsons spys a little bit more and posters who post here won't realize the impact he is making because he's not by the QB all game.

Dallas is real discipline in their lanes... the DL has a knack to tip balls if they can't get to Murray. So, will Murray height be an issue... could lead to more turnovers..

Good explanation. Pressure and forcing him out of a pocket, I think, is the route to go. This defense now, has a lot of speed.

Great scouting! Being short a WR1 is going to hurt them. Kearse vs Ertz is a big match up. I agree with you the speed of Dallas's rush will be too much. A good mix of rush n spy with Micah will slow down Kyler, but he's so quick you can't bottle him up all game.

Murray out the pocket is where containment begins to breK down... he runs a legit 4.2... he like to roll out to see the field... think keeping him in the pocket and rushing Macah up the middle is the key... Tank and Gregory in containment... Diggs playing center field...
