I think Murray and Cards will underestimate Micah’s speed. There could be some big loss in sack yardage there. As I noticed Murray seems to run backwards a lot, before he throws the ball. Or then runs up to throw it.

Dallas speed on defense will get to him or cause errant passes.
Just hope they can contain him enough to prevent the bigger plays for the ones he does escapee from. Won’t be able to contain him every play.

But I think they can get to him enough.

LOL............"cards will underestimate Micahs speed"?

Where do you come up with this nonsense?

Murray is toast. Cowboys are starting to roll. If Smith returns is could get ugly.

Murray out the pocket is where containment begins to breK down... he runs a legit 4.2... he like to roll out to see the field... think keeping him in the pocket and rushing Macah up the middle is the key... Tank and Gregory in containment... Diggs playing center field...
First off here, how long does one actually think he will last being forced to run? 4.2 and a QB isn't exactly a NFL calling card.

This defense is afraid of a player on the carpet listed at 4.2? Not hardly...oh, and you are also saying the Dallas pressure at the line of scrmmage, wont hit him a bunch?

Make him beat you from the pocket. Not sure he could do that even with Nuke Hopkins.

We are the worst team that the Cardinals could face. We have the team speed designed just for him. He will get a few chunk plays but will eventually fold under the relentless pressure.

No need for a spy.

Not arguing... simply discussing the game plan as fan. Don't get constipated when someone disagree. Actually we are agreeing we should keep Murray in the box.... whose the spy tho? Lewis? Parsons? Wolf hunter...? What scheme and sub package would you deploy the most...

If I was them and I wanted to increase my chances in the playoffs & make sure my franchise guy is healthy - I’d sit Kyler for this game. This Dline is not playing around and that little dude is in harms way.

Contain him in the pocket like they used to do Russell Wilson a few years ago!

You post something again in a discussion including an inclusive constipation insult...you are out of a discussion. Don't even go through cheap stereotypes that don't listen to the present operation of the current Cardinals and the Cowboys. Stay out of a lack to notice the current difference in the change of both teams now.

The Cowboys are currently are a 5+ points favorite right now...no, the direction will be intense pressure and forcing Murray to having to scramble will catch up with the Cardinals. How do they push an advantage with their wide receiver group now? The have a solid offense and a good quarterback, but the Dallas will be instead, very aggressive. The Cowboys will bring to taking Murray into more intense, and not a restricted group of just trying to keep Murray from directed runs and a steady slow response.

Throw any more insult, and you go to ignore...grow up.

Heinicke got away and evaded Micah and friends quite a few times and if he was faster his running could have done some damage. Murray is faster and more agile.

So I'd use Micah as a spy way more often and let dlaw, Gallimore and Gregory play the pressure part. Otherwise we'll see alot of successful runs by their QB. And you just can't trust LVA with this.

That’s a good question about a spy on Murray. He definitely poses some issues for the defense.

I’m sure they will put a spy on him, at least some of the time… but will it be Micah? Probably on many snaps but they also will want him coming off of the edge on some plays. Quinn will mix it up, I’m sure.

I think Jourdan Lewis might get some time spying Murray. He has quickness to match up with Kyler’s jitterbug running style and he is a really good tackler. The spy just needs to slow him down while the pursuit gets him from behind. Parsons and Gregory will get to him fast if Lewis can make him hesitate.

They’ll also be striving to stay in their rush lanes to contain him, and likely playing a lot of zone to keep their eyes on the QB. I would probably play a zone with the corners playing up at the snap to make sure the WR’s didn’t get a free release. Harass them at the snap, then release them and drop into your zone. I’d want Murray to have to hold on to the ball longer and not give him an escape lane.

As for Kearse, yeah I think he’ll be on Ertz some. I wouldn’t put him as the spy though… he’s just too tall and won’t have the quickness and change of direction to contain Murray, IMO.

It won’t be easy to contain him but that’s probably what I’d try to do to start the game.
Rookie CB Kelvin Joseph has the speed (4.34 40 you dash), quickness, size (6'0", 192 lbs) and aggression needed to spy on Murray. Joseph could allow Micah Parsons to partner up with D-Law and Gregory to blitz Murray from both the inside and around the edges more often.

Murray is such a SHIFTY, QUICK and FAST little dude.. Might be better off not rushing him outside, keep him in the pocket and make him a passer. He likes to roll out and pass on the run.. Do not underestimate his arm strength, he can throw deep, not always accurate though.
