Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club would like to alert fans that the roof at University of Phoenix Stadium is likely to be open for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The roof was open for the Cardinals Monday night game against the Bears on October 16 but this will be the first time it will be open for a day game at the stadium.

As a result, stadium temperatures may be slightly higher than in previous home contests and fans should dress accordingly. Also, some fans on the east side of the stadium may be sitting in sunlight at the start of the game.

Sun studies have been conducted that show how the movement of the sun affects the seating areas at various times of day and during different parts of the year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Um, I thought the whole point of this roof was to make hot games a distant memory. Now I KNOW we're wearing blue on Sunday.

Hmmm. Seems other team buy the blue jersey jinx theory as well. Well I hope we can end our winless streak in blue this year.

My Weatherbug says Sunday in Phoenix is supposed to be mostly sunny, with highs between 72 and 77, and a 15 MPH wind... doesn't sound like it's gonna be that hot to me...

Then there will be nothing stopping the Cards from wearing red.

I think they are having the roof open because it will be pretty much a national game.

They want us uncomfortable.......this could hurt the Cards more because they are used to playing with it shut

Sounds like us, having the visiting team sit in the sun. Well, what goes around comes around, lets go kick some butt.

I'm wondering if you guys have happened to notice the new cool pads the players have? If you think 72 to 77 is going to play any role in how uncomfortable the players are you haven't been paying attention.

Oh, and the blue jerseys are not jinxed. There's no such thing as a jersey jinx.

No actually the weather out here this tie of year is nice. I do not think it is a ploy to "mess" with the Cowboys. The temperature is not going to be HOT. Man, it is so funny how defensive people get bout this. It wil be in the 80's. That is wonderful Arizona weather.

I lived in Phoenix for seven years. They're basically just letting people who will be sitting in the sunny section know that they need to bring sunglasses and buy a cold drink.:D

Even the part of the field that's in the sun won't be oppressively hot, but since the game is a late start, the field will be shaded for most of the game anyway.

Wish I could be there.

Great teams win games regardless of jersey colour or weather factors. If that what will beat us then we are not a good team to start with.

Maybe not, but other teams certainly buy into it. The Cards have only worn red at home this year. Suddenly changing to white means "head games."

I guess you have never heard of the "Bad luck Blues" then started long before the parcells era.

Also, heat will not bother our team.

if it is supposed to be 77 in arizona tomorrow that is fine. It was in the 80s or slightly lower the past three days here in DFW. So that is not an issue for our club.

Plus the Arizona heat is a dry heat. It will seem absolutely frigid there after 80 degree, high humidity Dallas weather. :D

That's true, when i was in basic training in San Antonio, it was like 95 with 90 humidity. Then I went to Arizona and i was worried because it was like 115, but it wasnt as bad as San Antonio because of the humidity
