Brice Butler can't crack Cardinals' 53-man

Cardinals released WR Brice Butler.

An explosive deep threat, Butler did his thing this preseason, catching six balls for 137 yards. It wasn't enough to crack a receiver corps that includes a host of young receivers, as well as pure deep threat J.J. Nelson. Someone would be well served by signing Butler and giving him more snaps than the Cowboys did in 2017.

He has a higher ceiling than Hurns IMO......

It appears he has met his ceiling. Hurns' worst season is better than Butler's best season. Hurns also has a 1000 yards season, while Butler barely has 1000 yards for his career. Butler will be looking for his 4th team in 6 years. Most of the time it is what it is. He has no ceiling that 3 teams were simply incapable of unlocking.

He played good when they gave him chances. As soon as Williams got hurt last year, he caught a deep pass. Then Williams came back in.

His career could be done. It is how it works in the NFL. They will typically go younger in those roles. There are tons of players like him. Probably good enough to be on an active roster, but there are a ton of options out there with guys with similar talents.

Didnt he say something along the lines that he was better than Dez?

Ironic that both are now unemployed.
