Anthony Davis #11

Cherilus Gosder #17

Jeff Otah #19

How does Carimi compare vs these 3.

I say he goes pretty much toe to toe at least.

I like him better than Otah and Gosder. Not sure how much.

Push vs AD although I like Carimi more.

Wasn't Andre Smith drafted to play RT at #6?

For me, it's impossible to say seeing that we are comparing 3 proven NFL players vs speculation on one college player's potential.

If he is as good as any of them and we can get him in the late teens, I'd be thrilled.

I dont care how they do it. With the condition of the overall OLine, this is the perfect opportunity to really add some youth and talent to a struggling unit that's so key to the team's success. So whether they trade down a few spots in the 1st round to acquire some extra picks or not. I hope we select 2 OL in the 1st two rounds headlined by our 1st pick.

I'd be happy with Carimi in the 1st round, preferably in a trade down scenario somewhere in the teens if possible. Then is RD 2 we come right back with the best OG on the board. There should be a lot of value at that position at that point in the draft. That's my plan barring some sort of no-doubter player dropping to us a la Dez Bryant last year.

I did my own Mock Draft and has had some very nice picks in years past but I have the Cowboys taking Carimi OT, Wisconsin in the 1st and Wisnewski C from Penn State in the 2nd Round. I like the fact than the Boyz could move Gurode to Guard. This also allows the Boyz to bring two young studs in on the OL. I got blasted because several folks said we need Defense, which I agree but lets all be realistic we need 2-OL, 1 DE, 1 LB, 1 FS and 1 SS. We need six new Starters Defensively and Offensively. We probably can hope for 3 Starters from this Draft and 3 Free Agents. We can't build the whole thing in the Draft. I guess the Boyz will have to see what's available and realistic Free Agents they can sign than focus on the Draft. But, personally I get excited with an infusion of two young Offensive Lineman to go along with a young Doug Free.

Don't support using the 1st two picks on OL. Does it need fixed? Yes. But the biggest issue on this team is DEFENSE. The offense scored the 6th most points in the NFL with a 38 year old QB playing half the year.

Would love to have Carimi, but it's not going to happen at #9.

A better Oline = Better ball control = Keeping our defense off the field.

It's what the pats do. Play keep away, score points, and force teams to get out of their game plan and be one demensional.

Plus I don't like Witten as a blocker what so ever. Lets get some quality tackle play out there so he has to do less blocking.

You have to be careful going by stats. In 09 the defense was 2nd in the NFL in points allowed was at the top in sacks but the OL was an issue. We go to this year and the defense struggles and the OL is still an issue. I don't think Dallas can continue to put the OL on the back burner any longer.

The defense has never come up big when it needed to. Being on the field to much is an excuse.

Baltimore's offense sucked for years, yet their defense still was in the top half. We don't have enough playmakers on defense. We have Ware and Ratliff, that's it. We need difference makers on defense.

Round #1 - DL
Round #2 - OL

YES!

We've uncovered every draft rock but this one. Time to give Oline a try.

I have no issue with getting a DL be it 1st rd or 2nd but chansing stats to put a draft together in my opinion is a mistake. Dallas has 3 guys we need to be concerned about on the OL, 1 you have Kosier who is a FA, Davis and Colombo play has been falling for the last couple of years and we have very little behind them. If Dallas does not address this and quickly it will be a big mistake.

No amount of talking up this guy justifies him being the 9th overall pick, it's a reach no matter how you slice it.

I agree he would be a reach at 9. Myself I have no problem with Dallas swapping 1st with another team to make this move and in addition be able to add another pick.

It's only a reach if he doesn't pan out or JAG. But if he's a Pro Bowl caliber RT, it's no reach at all. It would be a HIT in my opinion.

You're drafting with hypothetical hindsight, which is great for conversation but not at all practical.

I probably want us to draft Carimi just as much, if not more than anyone else, but I wouldn't take him at 9.

But I think there will be plenty of trade down opportunities at our pick
