Carlos Hyde in a trade???

What if Chip was willing to give us Carlos Hyde for a 5th or 6th rounder...

Any interest?


He's looked great at times and very average at times as well.

Why would he do that? Hyde was looking excellent before his injury and he's on a rookie contract.

A couple of things....

Chip isn't in charge of personnel, Trent Baalke is. Baalke isn't going to move on from Hyde, his 2014 2nd round pick, so quickly.

Even if Chip was in charge of personnel, he was known for moving on from established players. He did not donate away valuable players for a "5th or 6th rounder"

Hypothetically, I would absolutely take Hyde for a mid round pick. He is a beast. Realistically, Chip has the most appropriate pairing of QB and RB (Kaep and Hyde) for his offense he has had in the NFL. I don't anticipate either of those guys being touchable.
