What do you guys think about him as a potential draft target?
Guy is a bruiser, 240, not to mention a pretty darn good RB. I can't stand Ohio St but would LOVE to have a big bruising back like Hyde to 1) move the chains consistently 2) be automatic in short yard situations and 3) PUNISH the NYGs for all those years of that scumbag Brandon Jacobs.

What round? Beware Big 10 running backs. They have not done too well in recent years.

Today over 200 Yards Rushing and only 1 stop behind the LOS...

He is definitely a day 1 pick.

In 35 games he has gone over 100 yards 12 times. He has gone for less than 60 yards 18 times.

this

no big 10 RBs
no USC QBs
no LSU defensive players

lets start a list of "no noes" in the draft

like, no trading up to draft CB or WR in top 10 :)

Carlos Hyde - RB - Buckeyes
Ohio State senior RB Carlos Hyde has converted 80 percent of his third down carries this season, according to Greg Peshek.

As we have stated over and over again, Hyde has really emerged this season. Our own josh Norris has compared him to Zac Stacy and Frank Gore because of his ability to beat first contact on a consistent basis. For comparison, Boston College's Andre Williams has converted close to 45 percent of the same opportunities.

I would take Hyde in a heart beat. He is a beast.

Bell seems to be doing pretty good this year.

To the OP I'm not sure how I feel about him yet. Drafting a back like that really depends on how the team feels about Murray IMO, because he is the same kind of back. I'd prefer to get a more elusive guy myself.

Charles Sims or Seastrunk would be ideal since Dunbar looks like he'll struggle to stay healthy.

Bell has missed games due to injury. When he does play he averages 3.39 yards per carry and 2.08 yards per carry in the 4th quarter.

IMO that is more of a reflection on the ineptitude of Pitt. He has looked good from what I have watched of him since coming off the injury.

That's misleading. Pitt has a god awful Oline. Bell is a really good runner.

Felix Jones(3.60 ypc) and Jonathan Dwyer(3.95 ypc) must be even better runners because they average more per carry than Bell.

I think Hyde would be a decent pick up, but I don't think he is worth a 1st or 2nd. Really, not a 3rd, either. He is not as good as Bell and Bell went in the 2nd.
