Carolina wouldn't trade Smith to us

Carolina is in the NFC, and trading Smith would be paramount to how Cincinnati traded Corey Dillon to the Patriots. It's just dumb...

Why are you going to let a team have:

1. Terrell Owens (Eagles)
2. Steve Smith (Panthers)
3. Jason Witten (3rd round)
4. Marion Barber (4th round)
5. Felix Jones (1st round)
6. Martellus Bennett (2nd round)

Not to mention what players like Danny Amendola could add to that.

Thats way too many weapons on offense. And thats way too many favors from the NFL and NFC.

Especially after the NFL (especially the AFC) let us stack our defense, with the additions of Pacman Jones, and Zack Thomas. They allowed us to stack our secondary, as well as our linebacker corps. And our defensive line may prove to be pretty stacked too.

Jerry Jones has more than made up for the teams 2 lost first rounders on Joey Galloway.

Methinks Amendola's name belongs nowhere near that list of high weapon grade uranium.

Amendola is like....finding a rock compared to the enriched uranium that comprises most of that list.

He has potential to help us out huge as a 3rd receiver in the slot. It might take sometime, but the potential is there. Thats all I was saying, see how he isn't actually listed.

I just think the NFL (NFC in particular, Eagles, Bears, Cardinals) has helped us enough by letting us get so many talented players on offense. I don't see them giving us Smith.

I'm sure teams are terrified of our lazy third string tight end.

lkelly, you should be a little bit more wary of what you read. I've seen him in action in training camp, and thats not the impression I got at all. I got the impression he is going to be a matchup nightmare, especially in the redzone. And as much as I like Tony Curtis, I see Bennett eventually getting more playing time in passing situations.

This just in, the Ravens want to trade Ed Reed straight up for Roy Williams because he looked at the head coach funny. :banghead:

The media only brought up trading Steve Smith to get eyes on them. There is no way the Panthers are trading Smith. Everyone get over it.

I call this the "its too good to be true theory".

Do you think the League office is keeping score? If we strike a deal with Carolina that appears too advantageous, do you think the league will step in and say "wait a minute here, you Cowboys have done too good a job building your team! I have to kill this deal.":laugh2:

If Roy Williams was going to cost a lot, how expensive do you think Smith would be?...Never gonna happen

Am I missing something? What have the Bears and Cardinals done to help us?

The Bears cut Tank and Columbo and the Cards didn't re-sign Bigg. Not that any of those had anything to do with us.
