I actually am pulling for Crapenter to show something but 2 plays yesterday reminded me of how much he just isn't physical enough..

The goal line play where he bounced off Cadillac.

There was a play where he was rushing the QB from the weakside (bottom of our TV screen). He got a great jump and was going full speed but the second he saw a Buc was going to beat him to the QB and get in his way, he pulled up. You gotta blow that guy up and possibly drive him back into the QB.

I was not all that impressed with our ILBs yesterday. I was certainly not impressed with Carp. He just doesn't stack and shed the way you would want a good strong ILB to play. It is what it is but that, to me, is not his game. JMO.

I always thought he was better suited outside. But what the heck do I know?

Am I the only one that thinks he had a very good game? Brookings was not any where near physical enough, but Barbie seemed to step it up. From what I saw yesterday, Carp>Brookings, but that was only yesterday.

Your alone. Carp is soft and always will be. He might be good in a 4-3 if he doesnt have to shed a block and just play in space.

since when do first round draft picks aspire to be nickle LBs

Since they were drafted 4 rounds ahead of where they should have been drafted because the coach liked his daddy. To me he is playing about like a project player from the 4th or 5th round should be playing, which is where he should have been drafted. Oh well. Water under the bridge now.

I agree. He's a 43 OLB IMO.

Which again makes me wonder what how good a 43 style of defense with our personnel would be. Now if they could just make me d-coordinator for a couple of season, I would have these boys in shape.

I did not like the pick at the time. I did not see him as a 1st rounder, but he was projected by many experts to be one. I never saw it, but I also never some him projected to go in the later rounds. He was always listed as a early round draft pick and mostly in the 1st. And I disagree about him playing at a project player level. A project player should be playing at their potential by their 4th season. If they are not then they should just be cut.

Ya know, I am really sorry I tried to say something positive about a Cowboy player. Obviously this board is full of people that can't do anything but whine. This board is getting to be less classy than the foreskins board. At least there, they support their team. They may be delusional, but they support their team.

Maybe there is no room for me and the CrazyCowboy types here. We just just sit back and talk about how bad things are and hope we go 6-10.

I try to say positive things about this team and get blasted for it. I really believe that any kind of civil debate is useless to attempt because of the morons.

Relax fortdick. Most here are very positive about the Cowboys, but many think Carpenter has shown all he can ever be. I had high hopes when we drafted him. I trusted Big Bill to make a good decision. He screwed this one up. It happens. It's not personal towards you.
