Not going to argue about the quality of opposition. It still doesn't change my opinion that he looks much more confident and is throwing the ball well.
And I won't argue that he is throwing the ball well.

I don't like him much, but there is no denyng this preseason he has looked sharp and confident.

Harrington has supposedly looked more confident this preseason. He still has a lot of support in Detroit although he definitely will have to produce this year, or fans will be calling for Garcia (yuck). Also, Tai Streets got cut. Guy couldn't freaking catch anything last year, it was ridiculous.

I do think Carr has to prove that he can win games when the team around him is good. He's proven that he's tough and that he can make the big play, but he hasn't shown that he can consistently move the ball downfield (largely due to the rest of the team).

Should be an interesting year for both QBs. I hope they both stay healthy.

I guess I'm one of the few, but I don't believe in either of these guys, at least as a really top-tier QB.

Harrington, beyond his poor play on the field, has some personality issues. Naturally he's going to complete his share of passes with the tremendous talent he has at WR and a good back behind him, but I doubt he does anything any other pretty good QB could do.

Carr I thought was going to be good when he came out, but now I'm doubting he's ever going to get over the hump. Just a hunch.

He certainly won't without an O-line.

U know what this post made me think of? If Henson had stayed in school he would've come out with these guys. Look how long it has taken them to develop. Carr is a sutiable starter who has star potential, Harrington is average at best. Henson would have been considered a better prospect than either one of these guys had he not opted for baseball. I hear a lot people complaining about how he looks and wanting to draft a QB next year, why not have some patience send the kid ova to Europe next summer, and let him do his thing, and let him develop.

I was with you up until the Europe thing. For some positions it is good but I don't think it is the thing for a QB that you are earnestly intent upon developing into your starter. I think we were right to keep Henson here instead of sending him to Europe to play with the third/fourth stringers over there.

Harrington has too many weapons this year. Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Kevin JOhnson, Tai Streets, Charles Rogers, and Marcus Pollard. That is some depth. Kevin Jones should take some heat off of Harrington at times. If he flops again, I think he is gone.

And no I don't want to see a thread about Harrington to Dallas when that happens.
I do I'd love to have harrington here....

Last year he had 19td's and 12 INT's he has improved his stats every year I don't understand why he is given such a hard time.

Vick had 14Td's and 12 Int's with 700 fewer yards passing is he a bust at QB? Bad example because I think as a qb Vick sucks but I like Harrington...

People say Carr has done well considering. Thats a load of crap Harrington has better stats across the board and where it counts he has 48 TD's and 50 Int's While carr has 34 Td's and 42 Int's and he hasn't had to look over his shoulder the whole time he's been in the NFL like Harrington has.

Harrington is given a hard time because his team doesn't get into the endzone enough for an offense stockpiled with #1 picks. He has a timid personality type, and he opts for dinks and dunks rather than throwing the ball down the field. It just doesn't look like his teammates respond to him.

Naw Jack I wasn't sayin we should have sent him ova there this past year, I think it was the right thing for him to stay in Dallas and get the basics straightened out. But since I have a feeling he won't see the field this year, I do think we should send him over there with the rest of the 3rd and 4th stringers, u forget he's gonna end up 3rd string here. From what I have seen his biggest problem is just not being acclimated to live football yet. He needs to get on-field experience somehow.

Harrington has had the better offensive line. He has been sacked 53 times in his career while Carr has been on his back 140 times including 49 last season. They both started out with teams with little talent at the skill positions. Both teams have improved the players around the QBs and Carr was able to get his offense to improve while Harrington has not.

I think Harrington will be on a short leash. Carr has this year and next to prove something, Harrington won't have that luxury.

I will say this Harrington has looked over his back his entire career wondering if he where going to be replaced. Should he be worried about that? NO. He should have just gone out and played the game, but he didn't he let it bother him due to the fans and media always bringing up Mike should start and other crap. I think if Joey gets his eyes in front of him instead of watching his back side for another QB then he will prove he is a very Good QB. I think he's had one or two incomplete passes this preseason, but preseason doesn't mean much but I bet there are 31 other QB's who could say the same.

Carr is very good and I think he and the Texans make the playoffs this year. Harrington isn't going to make it IMO. You'll see Garcia in there for Detroit by mid season if he struggles.

No way this happens with that OL and their D. Carr's overhyped tremendously.

I'm not sure if Carr is overhyped but one thing he has done in the few games I've seen him in is constantly mess with his hair. He seems to be more concerned with that than the games.
