Both were available during FA and we strongly went after carr. Anyone have any input on whether we chose correctly?

I haven't seen finnigan play this season so not sure how hes looked. Not really sure of either carrs or finnigans stats. Anyone watched them play or know the stats care to give your opinion on whether we went after the right man?

Finnegan has had a solid season, but I'm very happy we chose Carr. The main reason I am happy with Carr is his age; he's only 26.

We chose incorrectly. We shouldn't have signed either.

Then we'd have six wins!

I knew not to come in this thread.

Carr was a good signing..better than lord parcells signing of Anthony Henry

we had to get a top CB and usually you pay large for them in FA

of course then we went dumpster diving for our O line and we got pretty much what we paid for

I always had Carr over Finnegan and still do. It has nothing to do wit what we did, because I had him there before we got him. I knew Carr was our top FA target and I have always been fine with it. Great job by the Front Office and scouts IMNSHO.

Finnegan may be having the better "turnovers" statistical season, but I wouldn't trade him for Carr if I could.

Why I like Carr:
He's only 26, still plenty of youth left in this guy.
He's the ultimate team player.
He got no ego: Being in KC, he didn't get the crappy exposure to ruin him.
He's void of the Finnegan attitude and personality, we don't need that here.
He is a very good CB (used wrong at times), and home grown.

Folks also may mention reasons Finnegan may have been better, and that's fine... that's their prerogative... but I think for this being Carr's first season in this scheme/defense, he's doing a damn good job.

Finnegan's in the presence of his previous coach, likely making his transition easier... not to mention he is more of a veteran.

I love it. Call me selfish but I was getting a little tired of seeing the Jacques Reeves corners of the world start for this team so it's pretty refreshing to know that we'll be seeing Claiborne + Carr for the next 5+ years.

We overpaid for Carr but I'm happy with him.

We didn't overpay, that's just what the rate was for a young, talented FA corner.

Well I'm proud of my cousin... He's playing some really good football and playing through pain.

I think Finnegan is the better CB, but that said. We got a better character (Garrett guy) with Carr.

If I straight up wanted the best CB without regard to the player's character, then I would have went Finnegan.

Since Garrett wants "his type of guys", I think we did okay. Carr definitely fits that mold.

I was fine with either but I think I initially wanted Finnegan because this team was in dire need of some nasty

^^^This message brought to you by the author of predictions of losses to the Bengals, Steelers, and today...the Saints. And a preview for next week...the Commanders."

(And probably the Browns, Commanders, Ravens, Giants, Eagles, Falcons, Panthers, Buccaneers, Seahawks, and Bears.)

Stay tuned for further predictions of doom as the post season opponents unfold.

That's rich.

Tell me, and the board, when was the last time you predicted a Cowboys loss? Actually, provide a link please. Because to me that's like a legitimate sighting of bigfoot.
