He seems really quick twitch. Many of the DEs in this draft seem more like LDEs but this guy seems like a RDE although he is a little smallish at 6-3, 240.

Don't know about the off field issues, but he seems to be an older prospect. I think he'll be 25 when the season starts? Can anyone confirm?

Wow, he looks bad. Not much burst, and they seem to take him out in short distance. That Michigan tape is not flattering at all. Smoot would be interesting in about the 3rd round, however. Not sure he's good enough for a 2nd -- he has some physical talent and a some nice inside moves, but he looks lost sometimes.
