This was his teams 2014 championship game.

He got s bit careless with the ball a couple of times but he really showed off some of his talent and with the championship on the line he had the ball..

I'll let you watch to find out what happens.

Btw... The sideline passes this guy is capable of is pretty crazy.

The game vs Iowa state was the most impressive game I've seen of his..I'm not a fan

He doesn't go through progressions...he gets flustered when his first option isn't available...he looks to run too early...he drops his eyes in the face of pressure...

I don't like him

He's a Tony Romo clone. He makes plays by extending plays. Sometimes that works and he looks amazing and sometimes it loses him the game. He's athletic. But careless. Stronger arm than Tony but not as quick a release.

I wouldn't mind Wentz but I'd like to move on from Romo style play.

Hope Cleveland doesn't draft Goff

Careless?.......better check out NDSU's turnover ratio on their run of 5 straight championships, that doesn't go hand in hand at any level.

That string of "careless" QB's, that extend plays.............Staubach, romo, Farve, Tarkenton, S.Young, Wilson, Cam Newton, ....just a "trait" that doesn't work in the NFL

I'm just not impressed . A lot of his passes are right on the numbers or his receivers have to wait for the ball to arrive. In the nfl those passes are incompletions. You have to be able to hit your guy in stride. I just don't feel comfortable with him even in the 2nd round. It's either Lynch or goff for me.

Yes. I think he's a little careless with the football. He fumbles twice in the first two or three minutes of the 1st video. Now they recovered one so it wasn't a big deal but it doesn't make the play any less careless.

Another string of careless QBs that extend plays.. but suck.. Vince young. Johnny Manziel. RG3. Colin Kaperneck. Etc

I'm not saying I don't like Wentz. I'm just saying I personally would like to get off the roller coaster type Qb that Romo is and Wentz seems to be to me

I agree with you but I viewed it as something that could be cleaned up.

Like Romo, we'll have to reign him in a bit but I think he'll be a star once we find that balance.

I don't want the level merry go round of a Quincy Carter etc..........doing the same thing over and over and expecting diff. results. If we would've had a solid team around Romo for 10 years via a Will Mcclay personnel, we wouldn't be viewing Romo as a roller Coaster, Romo was forced to attempt the impossible too many times to cover up deficiencies .................note he has more comeback wins than any QB in the final 4, that's a nice roler coaster to have been on.

First video would not be my ideal highlight reel..lol!

Yeah.. Neither vid really were his best game but in both games he still makes some crazy throws.

The first vid was more about how he performed under pressure with the Championship on the line.

I like him. Moves really well for his size.

Was really impressed with ND St offense and Illinois St defense as well in that game. Hard to believe those are small schools, as they execute really well.

If he's rated top 10 I'm fine with him. It will be fun to have a young stud pup pushing Romo and making plays in the preseason. I haven't seen that, well, since Romo!

Check out the last 2 minutes game winning comeback possessions in his 2014 S.Dak state playoff and 2015 Champ game vrs Illinois Redbirds last year..........add in this years UNI last minute win in the regular season..................his passes to Urzendowki in all of them are dimes on the run as good as Goff can do....... Very Romo'esque to T.Will on deep in's for big gains or TD's.

Last years Redbirds and this years JSU teams were both loaded with FBS transfers, for whatever reasons, but FBS recruits. JSU Hough will play in the NFL, worth a FA contract.

We spent practically an entire year bemoaning how poor our offense was without him, now it is best to move away.

If Garrett and his "beat your man" offense sticks around, we had better be looking at improv QBs and fewer "system" QBs.

So much this.

I was opposed to drafting a WR until some of you brought up the Garrett factor and it really makes sense to try and be perfect across the board on offense.

We need playmakers and guys who can make plays outside of the system. It's what Garrett relies on and I think Wentz could be the guy to make plays outside of the system.

Amen.Jerry took too long to build a good oline for Romo.let's not waste the best oline in the league on any one but the best prospect.
