Cassius Howell

I like him if he is there with our 2nd first. A write ups Ive seen say he struggles out of a 3 point stance. But you know how write ups are. My biggest hang up with him is not so much him its the fact that only one of him and Ezeiruaku will be on the field on run downs. But that still means they are both in the field together close to 70% of the time. Its the same hang up I have with Bailey and Id jump on Bailey.

As pass rusher Cash has really good bend to go with a lightning quick 1st step. With Williams inside, you could probably get pretty that usual year 1 production out of him. I like him better overall than the LDE's we would be able to get after Matayo and Rbodes are off the board

If we take an edge in rd 1, have to target the best pass rushers as we can always find good base down run defenders later on. I also like Bailey the most, but also am high on Howell as well

Why would we put him in a 3-point stance? I see him as purely an EDGE or designated pass rusher. That said, it would be great if he’s there with our second 1st rounder.

He’s got elite explosiveness that I think is going to play well at the next level.

I don’t think we can go wrong going EDGE or DE. We need to improve our talent bottom line.

If he drops to where our likely first 1st rounder will be (~12-15 range), I’d be all over Keldric Faulk. He’s an excellent run stopper with a lot of potential as a pass rusher IMO.

Productive DPRs/EDGES are easier to find than 3-down DEs.

I think Howell will be available with the 2nd 1st rounder, but there's plenty of Edges this draft. Love the explosion in Howell's skill set.

There are short arms...then there are arms so short there isn't even a comp.

Howell is fun but if arms are around 30 inches I cant take an outlier with a 1st round pick.

I don’t think we use stand up rushers alot in this system. Granted Eberflus has shown some flexibility recently with his 5 man fronts. If its true that he does struggle out of a 3 point, that can be coached

I think there is an interesting scenario that could play out. I could us taking Howell, and then moving out of our 2nd 1st and taking LT Overton in the second. Overton is kind of similar to Shemar Stewart last year, but I think there is a good chance he gets squeezed out of the 1st.

I feel like when I see Eze, Folwer, or Houston rushing the passer, it's always been standing up. I could be wrong, but at the very least, I think the vast majority of those guys' rushes are when they're standing up.

Supposedly his official measurements is 30 6/8. That's 3" under ideal. He's probably going to be a 3rd to 4th round value

LT Overton probably won't test well and may be available in the 2nd, and I'd like to have him at DE in a 5-man DL. Overton plays standing up, drops in coverage, plays 5 tech, 3 tech on passing downs too, this guy is versatile.

Overton's temperament is a good fit for Dallas, Dude plays fired up and arrives with bad intentions.

Seems like yesterday, folks were talking about Will Campbell's less-than-desirable arm length, and he's been the best OT in the draft.

Folks need to get out of the mindset of evaluating prospects like it's just a matter of checking boxes.

The arm length is alarming, but he's a dog. I doubt he makes it very far out of the 1st round, if in fact he does make it to the 2nd.

A certain Tackle named Staley is probably going into the HOF with arms under 34"
Alex Mack had 31.5 arms and will go to the HOF
Jared Allen had 32 inch arms

Campbell was about 1 1/2" short with the option of moving to guard as a worst case scenario.
Howell is pushing 4!

Campbells arms were 32+...

Shorter than ideal but at least there were comparable OTs that are studs in the NFL.

Correct me if Im wrong but I dont think there is a pass rusher in the NFL with 30 inch arms that is an above average player.

I don’t know Howell’s official measurements or anyone that’s collected running data on that.

What I do know is that he has 11.5 sacks on the year and 27.5 for his college career. His talent plays and wager it will translate to the NFL.

Shemar Stewart was the draft fanbois fantasy prospect that checked all the boxes. He was virtually devoid of production at Texas A&M and that’s carried through to the Bengals.

BTW, Micah’s arms measured out at 31.5”.

I've actually heard he is expected to test well
