Caught Deion saying last interception of Farve, "he was just trying to make a play"?

I agree with you guys, but let's give Brett Favre a little bit of a break on this. The man isn't having a good day today, it's got to be a hell of a feeling he has right now.

He deserves nothing of the sort.

He is having a bad day because he made a terrible decision.

I agree. Brett made a big mistakes but others made some big mistakes that hurt just as much. Fact that the Vikes did have 5 turnovers and it still took the saints an OT to win says allot about Favre and the vikes.

they still lost. that says a lot more. : )

Haters will hate. You have to admit, it has been Favre overload this season on the networks.

As for his decision to try to get a few extra yards to get his team in true FG range. Well' that is his job. Even though his leg was hurt, it looked like he maybe could have gotten a couple of yards more by running...so a 56 yarder is maybe a 53-54 yarder. Who knows, those windows close quickly. His kicker had hit one from 52 this year. If he throws it out of bounds or incomplete, the result is still almost surely overtime at 56 yards. He was just late throwing over the middle--which is the kiss of death. But again, a pick or an interception are probably one in the same at 56 yards out. Nobody can say if that play cost them anything except a shot at a career-long FG for their kicker.

I'm sure he'd run for it in hindsite.

After last night watching Deion bloviate, I wrote this......

On the NFL Network, Deion was saying that the Vikings were the better team and Irvin disagreed saying no, tonight the Saints were the better team. They got into an argument and the coach said turnovers are a part of the game and just about ended the argument. Primetime helped his teams over the years with turnovers and he should have understood that point. Mariuchi said that no matter if you move up and down the field you can't turn it over and that NO has been doing that all year long so it shouldn't have come as a surprise.

Lord Favre giveth and he taketh away.
The Vikes would have been no where near the playoffs had they been stuck with Tavaris Jackson. He put them in position to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in his typical fashion.

After knocking the Cowboys out last week, I couldn't care less how they did it, I just wanted them to lose and they obliged.

Go Colts!

I liked what Romo said after the game last week about having to earn that home field. At least this season, the value of it was undeniable for dome teams. I really think you could have substitued Dallas' team for Saints last night in New Orleans with tat loud crowd behind them and the game would have been a tossup as well. The Vikes did not have the advantage on D they enjoyed last week and the saints instead had that same trump card.

That sums it up from my point of view too. They wetn further with him then they would without him, but i'm glad they are toast.

Bret Favre throwing picks to blow playoff games is as AUTOMATIC as Deion Sanders' ability was to purposely avoiding open-field tackles. These two can HAVE each other and their lovefest!

Well, he WAS trying to make a play...56 yards was out of range. So Deion was just speaking the truth. Dumb throw though...as Favre could have gotten a few yards for his kicker by just running.

True, but he would have picked up maybe three yards for a 53 yard field goal. A linebacker was waiting for Favre to cross the line of scrimmage. And on his bum ankle, he wouldn't have gotten far.

You think the Vikings beat the Packers twice with TJ?

Without Favre, the Vikings would have maybe made the playoffs as a wild card. But I don't think they go far.
