This has some information which may be must see. If you are not a fan of Cavanaugh, then fast forward to the 3:18 mark when he starts talking about where the team stands in regard to the analytics for both offense and defense.

He will pull out a chart that is worth looking at.

Here is the chart he references. I love Ben Baldwin's (Computer Cowboy on Twitter) stuff. Great graphs that spell it out. Computer Cowboy (@benbbaldwin) / Twitter

3rd down defense has been stronger this year than I ever remember since the NFL went Madden.

Also Cavanaugh looks and sounds like he should be getting paid to rant about Battlestar Galactica and video game to film projects instead of talking football

Man... KC's defense stinks on both of these! We're a high total yardage defense too but as people have said, it's misleading.

Yup thats what i was trying to say in the Cowboys vs Chiefs thread..their D is bad...

KC, Jets, Falcons and Washington.... stinker defenses according to this, using both charts.

Washington is the only NFC Least team we haven't seen, KC beat them.

Doesn't make me feel great having just pounded the Falcons, but Panthers, Buccs and Vikings are all high and we scored easily on them.

Looking at this, this 3 game-run against contenders -- KC, RAIDERS, SAINTS -- looks like Saints will be the toughest matchup, although their offensive #s probably wouldn't be as great if Winston had gone down earlier. He'll throw the pick, but he'll also make plays.

If things go as they seem to be going, the Dallas defense will be back in full throttle for the Saints game.

The Patriots win at their house is looking better every week.

Biggest Takeaway:
We've got depth on the dline. Had a great game w/o Lawrence, Gregory, and Gallimore, our 3 projected quality starters going into the season. Part of that depth is having Parsons fill in at DE for situational pass rushing.
2nd Biggest Takeaway:
WHen those guys are back, the defense will be good.
