Cavs are exploiting the player buy out procedure and signing veterans PG Deron Williams and C Andrew Bogut to vet minimum contracts. Also, Jose Calderon is expected to sign with the Warriors. Looks like another year of Cavs vs Warriors. Who will win the tie-breaker?

With KD out edge would move to Cavs.
If KD is back the GSW are just too friggin good.

it won't make a big difference.

Cleveland is still the top team in the east. They will still have trouble against the Warriors or Spurs, possibly even the Rockets.

Until playoffs when KD usually chokes (like he did last year in WCF).
He'll be playing with a team and system around him and no need to carry the team on it's back.
GSW are the best team in basketball with a healthy KD. --whose renewed his interest in playing defense and been very good this year.

Sure, best team in the regular season. Playoffs, I take Cavs (fully healthy with KLove back).

And Bogut goes down for the season two minutes into his Cavs debut...

GSW lost the series in game 7. It wasn't like the Cavs stomped it in a sweep.

They lost it, because the Cavs went underneath the table to get Green suspended and tried for two games, Bogut got hurt and they lost, most importantly, the passing and screening he set in the offense, and then Iggy sprained his back in the beginning of game 6 and couldn't even extend the passing lanes, while trying to guard Lebron.

When it was healthy to healthy, GS was running the tables 3-1.

This year, the Cavs have all the depth, including Hughes now, who has been added and if up-to-speed provides strong interior defensive presence. The Cavs are like 50 million over the salary cap and have been the last couple of years. Their really is no penalty other than the owner's desire to pay a luxury tax spread across the league. It's basically a joke...

The issue is really depth now for GS.. If KD is fine, they are by far, superior to the Cavs starting five to starting five...

This year though, in the East there is a little bit more competition for the Cavs, which could wear them down a little more. The Wizards and Celtics are playing good ball.
