Least favorite time of the year. The first days of FA are hard to watch.
Well when you are bargain bin shopping, it's wise to expect disappointment.

2 years, $6M.
Carr and Claiborne have a combined 1 interception in those two years
So, I guess no one can have an opinion about a player, huh? McKelvin has been at best a mediocre player throughout his career who has been injury prone, and unable to hold down a starting job. He hasn't shown much through his career at all - why did they draft Ron Darby last year? Why did they draft Aaron Williams, and make him a starter at corner as a rookie? They did it because they didn't think he was an answer opposite Stephon Gilmore.
Frankly, were it not for the fact that he was a former first round pick, I think a lot of people would view him as being similar to a Sterling Moore. If you like him, so be it. Doesn't mean that anyone else has to.
If depth is what is being looked for, I would go for a guy like Jeremy Lane, who is five years younger, and has his best football in front of him. He's probably also a lower priced option.
Injury prone? Yes. I'm just going to go out on a limb and say you're talking out of your *** about the "mediocre player". Why did they draft Ron Darby? Once AGAIN, everything you are stating can be applied to Scandrick: Why did we sign Carr, huh? Why did we sign Claiborne? HUH? Why did we draft Jones? Huh huh?
You're talking about a player you don't know anything about. You took a quick glance at NFL stats and ran with it.
McKelvin is a solid CB, not great, solid that would have been good depth. And Jeremy Lane? Injury prone, 2 INTs on a great defense in 4 years. Since you know, we're going by raw statistics here, he's terrible.
Don't presume to know anything about me in regards to what I watch football wise, and what I know about players. You are a mighty arrogant individual.
Has nothing to do with stats with McKelvin, and it has everything to do with his play and his inability to stay on the field. And, you're making it seem like I am saying that Scandrick is a comparison for him - Scandrick had to overcome being a fifth round pick and the perception that goes along with it. When he came to Dallas, he came there when they already had a first round starter entrenched in Terence Newman, a new FA signing in Adam Jones, and a first round pick in Mike Jenkins. Yes, they added Carr and Claiborne in 2012 because they wanted to play press man - with Scandrick playing the slot.
There is no comparison at all with Leodis McKelvin and his time in Buffalo. You like him, that's fine. I don't think that he's worth signing, in part because he doesn't play the ball particularly well, and because he's a 30 year old player with injury issues. He also couldn't win and keep a job over Jabari Greer, Terrence McGee, and ultimately, Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby. I didn't even need to look that up to know this.
Keep the snark to yourself next time. I'm confident in my knowledge of the players in the league, and certainly am not looking for any validation from you.

And in other Eagles news, Pete Prisco is also reporting that in the deal to send Alonso and Maxwell to Miami, the Dolphins swapped their 8th pick with the Eagles 13th.
Eagles having a pretty solid week thus far.
