CBS - 8 Bold Draft Predictions

Cisco was the guy that caught my eye. I really have zero idea what to make of him.

And if the Cowboys wanted to go OL in the first, I would be much more content in a trade down and then grabbing a guy like Darrisaw than taking Slater at 10.
Cisco is a good home run type swing in the 3rd or 4th. Alot of in season mocks had him in the 1st before he got hurt. Could bust too though

Cisco is the guy I’ve been looking at more closely recently. And opinions on him are all over the place.

If it’s the fourth round, I’m more comfortable with a gamble. Shaun Wade is another one in that area.
I think Wade has dropped so much he is under rated. Very good slot guy. Even if he is only a slot guy in the NFL, thats still a very useful skill. If he goes 4th like some predict, thats a steal

I like Shaun Wade too. Likes to mix it up and doesn't back down.

Yeah. I think that the right staff can find a good player. And Quinn seems to be a ‘projection’ type that moves players into better fits.

I am starting to think Werner is the best LB from Ohio State too. Like Browning, but he has very poor instincts for the position.

Oh man, he let the cats out of the bag. He called out Slater and I could not agree more. Slater is one of the most overrated players in this draft. I heard Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller talking about Darrisaw the other day, saying he is the best OT after Sewell and they think he is going to be a solid player for years. And Tevin Jenkins is like a poor man's Tristan Wirfs. He doesn't have Wirf's explosiveness (Wirf's vertical of 36.5 at the combine was ridiculous for a guy at 320 lbs), but his numbers are similar. Wirf's did 24 reps on the bench press but Jenkins showed better upper body strength with 36 reps.

Samuel is the guy I have had my eye on as I have suggested the Cowboys trade down for an extra round 2 pick. Samuel has the bloodlines, the skills, training, etc. to be successful in the NFL. If he was 2 inches taller he would be talked about ahead of Horn and Farley. If the Cowboys trade down and take a guy like Barmore then they can target Samuel in the 2nd round. But it would not surprise me if Samuel goes before Newsome.

I also agree that Werner is the better LB over Browning. Werner reminds me of the old school LBs. But I would be happier with Derrick Barnes to be honest. He is a guy who just plays football.

LOL, and yes! Finally. Someone calls it like it is when it comes to Miami Edge rusher, Gregory Rousseau. I never understood the attraction to Rousseau as a Edge rusher. Decent player but not as good as the hype. He could be Taco II. I would take Kwitty Paye all day every day over Rousseau.

I never heard of Chris Trapasso, but he nailed it with this article.

Slater does make me nervous at #10 when they talk about lack of strength.....we already have Connor Williams they said the exact same thing about.
If I'm picking #10 it has to be an immediate starter who can walk in and produce at a high level
Everyone loves Sewell, he has the same arm length and tested less athletic then Slater.

I don’t buy into much of his takes but everyone has an opinion.

Since testing wasn’t standard like it is at the combine I wouldn’t put a lot of stock in comparison tests.

somehow being ultra athletic seems to a negative for Slater,OTs dont always have to win with power in the NFL.
They don't but I always prefer the power to the athletic see Connor Williams.
