CBS - 8 Bold Draft Predictions

Love Jenkins because he is just nasty and pancakes people.
Cisco seems to be a gambler. Sure he makes some good plays but he also misses a D it results in a big yac play sometimes.

Miami DE Gregory R is overrated. J Phillips is much better but you worry about his injuries/medical.
If he would fall in the second he screams of a Jerry second pick.

His take on Samual Jr. and Surtain doesn't make sense.

"Surtain doesn't have serious twitch and has issues finding the ball in the air, but he's patient in press and his length helps him win at the the line. Samuel has the suddenness and route-recognition skills that are required in today's NFL that isn't dominated by large rebounders, but ultra-quick separators. Samuel was all over the football in college -- 29 pass breakups and four picks in three seasons with the Seminoles. He doesn't have to physically overmatch a wideout at the line to win, and he can stick with receivers down the field."

1. Samual has 29 career PBUs and 4 INTs in 3 years (not 4 year like it was incorrectly stated in the article). Surtain has 24 PBUs and 4 INTs in 3 seasons.

2. He says Surtain doesn't have "serious twitch" yet Samuals Pro Day numbers weren't spectacular Samuel "ran solid 40-yard dash times of 4.45 of 4.52 seconds, according to scouts at the workout. Samuel had above average numbers in the vertical jump (35 inches) and broad jump (10 feet, 4 inches)." Surtain had the following numbers "Surtain measured in at 6-foot-2 and 208 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds, broad jumped 10 feet, 11 inches, vertical jumped 39 inches, and totaled 18 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press."

I like your way of thinking, BP.

I think Cisco would be a good get in the third round. There's some risk to it, but the reward could be real high.

Theres certainly a high measure of big play and turnover ability with him. That’s sorely needed around here. And I don’t hold that last fluke injury against him.

Pete Werner is the best Ohio State linebacker prospect in this class
Baron Browning was the five-star recruit who blossomed in his final season for the Buckeyes and has received plenty of pre-draft hype as one of the best Day 2 linebackers in the class. Then there's Justin Hilliard, another five-star recruit -- imagine that -- who battled injuries in Columbus but flashed in 2020 as another athletic linebacker to monitor in the middle rounds.

i like this guy

The polished, smooth players get devalued as analysts try to find hidden gems. They just get carried away trying to make their point.
Samuel may very well be a good player but that shouldn't mean we overlook that Surtain seems to be a lock for very good pro career (barring injury, etc.)
