(12-4)Marcus Peters, CB, Washington: Brandon Carr has disappointed and Morris Claiborne has been the one blemish on an otherwise flawless first-round resume for the Cowboys the past five years, making cornerback a need in this year's draft. Peters has his baggage, but the reward outweighs the risk at this point.

Read the rest...he has Kevin Johnson and Eric Rowe going before our pick...

We will have a better picture after we have the complete list of invitees but I am dissapointed we have shown no real interest in linemen so far.

Yeah it seems like RB, LB and CB's so far.

Don't care much for mock drafts. Too many variables.

I do like Brugler's analysis of players. He makes a lot of sense when I listen to him on the Draft Show every Friday.

He's one of my favorite scouts. He releases a player profile book on 400+ prospects too, which is a good buy. I think he said it's coming out tomorrow or Wednesday this year.

I would love a first round CB and do think that is the most likely scenario, but if the draft played out like Brugler says I would be very, very tempted to give up a 4th and 6th to jump two spots in order to draft WR Dorial Green-Beckham.

That's just cray-cray.

Maybe Cray, but not Cray Cray. I'm assuming his character stuff checks out like Dez did. We didn't have a crying need for an OG last year but Martin put the OL into elite category. Putting Green-Beckham next to Dez and TWill would make that unit elite.

I see your logic but Dallas wants defense so badly in this draft, there is no way they give up their first, 4th, and 6th round choices for one WR. I don't think they even want to go RB in the first, even though they don't have an incumbent at the position.

With Dez, Williams, Beasley and Witten to catch Romo's passes, I just can't see them using 3 picks on one WR that was kicked off of his college team and has off field concerns.

I'm gonna go Cray cra.

I hope to move you down to "Cruh" by draft day.

I do agree that there aren't enough balls to go around already, and I think they really need to work Escobar and Hanna into the offense more next season. But I think Green-Beckman would really take the offense to a new level like Martin did with the OL. The WR corps would be unstoppable.

Then again, Dallas may take him off their board for character concerns, this is pretty much wishful thinking on my part.

BTW, if Green-Beckhan fell to the 27th pick - what would you think of this draft?

1st - WR Green-Beckham
2nd RB Ajayi
3rd Cornerback
4th Defensive End (project)

Thank God you're not the GM

Honestly, I can't draft a WR in the 1st round. It's like picking another TE in the 2nd at this point.
I do NOT want to encourage the coaching staff to pass the ball. I want to emphasize the run!

I rather trade down and DRAFT a RB in the 2nd and another RB in the 5th. Hopefully you hit at least on 1 of the two RBs we pick.

Don't see them taking Peters at all.

Same here. Just don't see them pushing the character envelope any further than they have already.

Although I will say this, if we force a CB choice in the first, he is hands down the best and it is not even close.

The Rowe choo choo train has been impressive to watch over the past week. Amazing how either the draft season jacks players up.

Rowe was never on any pundit's radar as a first round choice, even after his completed season.

Yet now, he's a first round pick? Based off of what? Workouts?

That is how players that can produce end up being chosen later. Anyone who says they knew this was a first round player is lying and is only trying to appear smart now. Or they finally got around to watching him.

I don't get the giant risers like that. I can see close to when the season is over, but this late i just don't get.

That was basically the same trade Dallas made to get Dez Bryant. Thank God the GM made that trade.

They also had Roy Williams starting opposite Miles Austin. I think we are in a little better shape now than then.

Plus, if you are running team, why on earth would you draft a WR first overall unless you did not have a number one?
