CBS: Eagles GM Roseman looking to make 'big swing' for star Browns pass rusher

A reminder of how our FO thinks Philly is making mistakes.

A tough decisions in Philly: Do we want the best defensive player in the NFL or not?

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are probably wondering how to give Turpin a 5 mil tender.

So the objective is to win SBs or not be in cap hell somewhere down the line?

Just like the Cowboys the Eagles have work to do this offseason. But they have Roseman; we have Jones and Son. Advantage Eagles.
Did you look at this ridiculous link before posting it?

The entire 1 paragraph article is based on two "scoops" which you can click and read within the "article".

One link says "reports say Eagles could be looking to add A PASS RUSHER this offseason with the potential loss of Josh Sweat and Milton Williams"

Duh. Everyone knows that. That's as ground breaking as saying the Cowboys will look to add a running back this offseason.

The other link is just 2 annoying people on a podcast with zero information just wondering out loud how cool it would be if the Eagles got Myles Garrett and paired him next to Jalen Carter.

That's the entirety of "the scoop".

Please have a little discretion before starting a thread based on nothing. It's dumb.

It is just an off season story by a reporter about a football team and GM. Some people will put more into it than what is there. Other with an agenda, like you, will try and down play it any way possible. Knowing reporters the way I do it is possible that this Jeff Kerr may have some inside angle on what Philly is doing. But it is possible he may just be blowing smoke for clicks. I will say that from I have quickly read about him is pretty impressive. He is a Philly based reported for CBS and seems to know his NFL stuff.

Breaking news: the Cowboys could trade for Bijan Robinson.

Source: the Cowboys need a running back
2nd source: it would be cool if the Cowboys got Bijan Robinson

seems pretty rock solid to me!

Imagine this team just won the Super Bowl and has had some great success over the last decade and here they are staying aggressive. Imagine the Jones boys tell us about a perceived drought when they haven’t done anything in 29 years. Their idea of swing for the fences is a 4th round pick for Jonathan Mingo.

lol, yeah. Any cap problems they might have will come after the process of having a championship stretch. That’s worth it. And when it comes time they’ll burn it down and start anew and their QB will still have enough for another 4-5 year run after the rebuild.

I think the idiot Jr mentioned that in 2020 as well, yet here we are

Garrett I assume we're talking about? He doesn't scare me. Tyron will stone him at the line of scrimmage Tyler Guyton with a little help will dominate. This move by the Eagles if it ever happened which I doubt is not scary. Garrett is old and washed up almost food
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Credibility and credentials. This Jeff Kerr dude that wrote the article linked in the OP seems to have at least some credibility as a reporter. He also has NFL press credentials evidently. You lack both most likely. That is the difference in his report and yours.

Yeah Philly's got some real tough decisions to make like where to put that second Super bowl trophy.
We will sit around during free agency and watch while the commanders or eagles get miles Garrett.
They will strengthen their teams we will blow smoke and fight the Giants for last place in our division.

It is so freaking sad that we are run by individuals that don't care about the fans

To me the real meat of this article was not about Myles Garrett. Perhaps Roseman is trying to make a deal but the Browns are and have been saying "no trade" will be considered for the player.

The important point for me was that the Eagles have troubles on the DL. Two of their top guys are FAs. Another is considering retiring. I know Roseman is a master GM but it is hard to win back to back SB. In the NFL last to first and first to last in a division happens.

I hope that Shotty is having an influence on the roster composition. I hope Jerry Jones is being quite because he is stepping back some. I hope Stephen Jones if he is THE real man now gets more aggressive about bringing in talent. I hope some of the players nursing injuries return in good form. I hope new coaches help improve current players. I just hope for something to cheer for and believe in.

Year after year, it's the same organizations being bold, and those same ones are typically in the post season. Yet here we have booger talking like he knows better than everyone else. Typical Dallas.
Eagles use void years in their contracts.

All of their base salaries are league minimum.

Not free money though.

That bill has to be paid.

That’s why we are stuck with dead money at the end of Martin’s contract.
