So because CBS ranks Dak as a Top 5 QB that makes it so?

Let's see, is Dak better then these guys:

Mahomes: NO

Brees: NO

Rodgers: NO

Jackson: NO

Wilson: NO

Brady: NO

Watson: NO

Wentz: NO

Ryan: NO

Dak is at best a Top 10-12 QB but that is only based on statistics and not the ability to lift the team deep into the playoffs. If he can lead the team deep into the playoffs then his ranking would rise but he has yet to do that.....this season will prove what he is in Dallas as there is no excuses this season given the talent on offense and defense.

I will concede Mahomes, Brees, Rodgers and Wilson. Jackson so far is a one year wonder, so time will tell if he is better or not. The others are in the discussion, but reasonable people could rank them above or below Dak. To my thinking Dak falls somewhere from 6-10, and reasonable people can disagree on where he should fit in that range.

5-0 against three of the worst teams in the NFL. 3-8 against everybody else.

Of course that's not all Dak's fault. But he didn't put this team on his back once last year and just will them to a win. Good defenses just dominated him.

Until that changes, he's a middling QB in the NFL with modern fancy stats rolled up against the dregs.

Then its a good thing we have 4 years of Dak to judge him on. You Dak haters never come up with any new stuff. What are you going to say this year if the Cowboys have a good year and Dak puts up the big numbers?

Fancy stats? LOL Isnt that what you complained about he first 3 years when we had a winning record? That Dak didnt have all the fancy stats?

You are one pathetic Cowboys fan.

Because we watched his Bears, Bills, Jets, Saints, Patriots and Eagles performance debacles last year.

And we know he built a season of stats basically on five games against the Commanders, Giants, and Dolphins.

I'll watch to see how he plays against legitimate teams in big moments this season. That's where me needs to prove himself.

Absolutely.

Just another sports writers article for click bait that is all.

Coaches & players rankings of quarterbacks is what we should be discussing. Not some click bait article. Granted players ranking sometimes get skewed by popularity contest.

But, but according to the anti Dak club in the Zone, Dak sucks and Dalton should be the starter.

Joker (Gotham TV Ref) is a quality backup but no one should think he would be an upgrade over Dak.

I'll take it further.

This season, will he be better than Murray, Cousins, Lock, Darnold, Goff, or even Burrow or Tua?

He's a middling QB.
Man you hell lol.......they should revoke your posting rights on Cowboyszone and Twitter.

The criterion of the list is "taking into consideration a QB's resume, upside and current team situation."

So can cancel the 35+ year olds that have made down payments on their retirement homes. Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ryan.
8-4 equals 4.
So you'd put him at 5 using their criterion apparently.

Except your own criterion is "ability to lift the team deep into the playoffs" and that means you gotta dump Wentz and move him up to 4.
Because Wentz has NEVER won a SINGLE playoff game.

Also neither has Lamar Jackson.
DWatson is the same 1-2 as Dak.

List of guys currently starting under 35 on your list who have made deep playoff runs:
Pat
Russ
