1Colts · Trends1Do we still have doubters as to why I had them in the 2nd spot to open the season? I didn't think so. They're even better than last season.

5Steelers · Trends5The new-look Steelers will be fun to watch. Ben Roethlisberger, like I predicted in the summer, will go to the Pro Bowl.

6Broncos · Trends9Jay Cutler handled himself well at Buffalo, and that's a good sign. Traveling across the country and winning a road game on opening day is a big deal for this team.

7Bears · Trends10At some point, they have to open up their offense. If Rex Grossman can't do it, go somewhere else. Playing it safe doesn't work.

8Panthers · Trends12Getting a tough road victory on opening day is a good sign of a bounce-back season for the Panthers. The defense might be back to its old ways.

9Seahawks · Trends14They struggled in the first half against a bad Tampa Bay team, but got it going in the second half. I still am not convinced about this team's playoff ability.

10Bengals · Trends11If the defense continues with the improvement it showed in the opener, watch out for the Bengals. We know the offense will score.

24Jets · Trends17That was putrid against the Patriots. They did little right. Chad Pennington's time might be coming to an end as the starting quarterback.

25Rams · Trends18Losing at home to open the season isn't a good way to start. The defense gave up too many big plays. And Steven Jackson might want to start holding onto the football again.

26Bills · Trends20You can't win many games when the quarterback doesn't throw for 100 yards. The defense gave up yards, but made key stops.

27Raiders · Trends23What happened to that defense? I'd like to think that's just a one-game aberration. If not, this team is in big trouble.

Man, the AFC powers killed the NFC supposed powers, so I guess we should be ranked pretty high off the win alone. That is what happens when it is the only game on in primetime "Football Night in America"............lol.

IT sure is easy to win when you know what the defense is doing. Anyone else notice that the Patriots offense didn't explode until after halftime? I always suspected the Patriots of cheating ever since that playoff game against the Raiders when Brady had that fumble ruled an incomplete pass. Now we have proof....maybe Billy B isn't such a genius after all. Anyone can look like a genius when you have the other teams playcalls. I hope they lose draft pick over this.

Cowboys fans are unpleasable, seriously

and sometimes i wonder if that really is a good thing.

This is not the NCAA where they have rankings, this is pro football and these power rankings just have no real meaning. You are going to have different people putting up different ranking those who don't put us at the top are called clueless when you get right down to it all of this means nothing and determines nothing in the end.
