DENNIS, ANYONE?

---Yes, the RANGERS have let their chances slip away in September. I say...so what? It was expected. It doesn't change my feeling for this team in the near future. I foolishly predicted on Galloway and Company on ESPN 1033 back in May...that this team would win a World Series in the next five years...and I still believe it. One down, four to go.
---My biggest concern for the DALLAS COWBOYS this season...the size, physicality and tackling ability of their defense. We will find out Sunday night if it is truly a potential season ruining concern.
---I listened to PATRICK CRAYTON in the Cowboy's locker room Thursday. And then, I listened to various sportstalk radio shows. The two did not synch up. What Crayton expressed was NOT trash talk. It was simply honest, prideful responses to various questions. I understand the need for hot button topics on talk radio...and I love the drama of covering and discussing all things Cowboys...but...come on people we shouldn't be making stuff up. We lose the integrity in what we do when we do that.
---How about this? My little daughter has had four tests already in the first grade...and she has gotten a perfect 100 on all of them!
(Then again, how hard is it to spell the word...ON?)
---Speaking of sportstalk radio...THUMBS UP...to the Newdog and Whitt combo on THE FAN....THUMBS DOWN...to whoever those Philly or New York sounding guys are that follow them.
---PREDICTIONS....NY Giants 27 Dallas Cowboys 20...Romo and crew will be driving to tie the game in the final moments..and something heart breaking will happen. My Buckeyes will win the rest of their games...except at Penn State...somehow weasel into another BCS bowl game...and then lose to the Mountain West BCS buster in that bowl game. Probably TCU. Just what I need. Orlando Scandrick will be so good in his start at right corner against the Giants...he will start next week...and the next...and the next...the SMU fightin' June-stangs 3 and 0? Won't happen.
---All of you fellow media members (and you know who you are...cough, cough, Babe, cough) who banded together to laugh at me years ago for arguing, matter of factly, that DREW BREES would be a better NFL quarterback than MICHAEL VICK...have you stopped laughing yet? And, please, its not because Vick went to the dogs...its because Brees is really good.
---I almost made fun of my little Kaity Jo Dennis the other day for watching one of those High School Musical movies for the 29th time...but then, I realized, I do the same thing if its Braveheart or A Few Good Men.
---If JASON WITTEN were allowed to play for Tennessee today...how much closer would the game against Florida be? Would he be the best player on the field?
---ROY WILLIAMS said this week that the biggest difference in the Cowboy's offense this year....he has been able to come in from "left field and play a little shortstop". Clever stuff. My new nickname for him=ELVIS. Roy E-lvis Williams.
---Give KEVIN MILLWOOD 12 million to pitch next year? No deal. Don't care what the Rangers have to do to keep that from happening.
---I am happy to report that my 2 year old white lab Woody Hayes Dennis is over his recent illness and is back to his happy puppy self.
He does, however, remain very concerned about the identity of the Ohio State offense. I caught him barking something about "three yards and a cloud of dust"....especially when on the USC side of the field on four straight possessions needing only a field goal to salt away a big win...(okay...that part may have been me joining in on the barking).
