---Go ahead and put me on an island with this opinion: muzzling Cowboys Head Coach WADE PHILLIPS is a good idea.

As the face and voice of the team...he is an embarrassment. I have often said in the past two years it is not a good idea to have ole Wade meet the media three or four times a week. He says nothing and represents the team in a very weak way. His strength is pure coaching...not public relations.

I agree with this 100%. After working as a journalist for a while and now working in public relations/public affairs, you never want to put someone in front of a camera or mic who's going to embarass the establishment.

OUCH!!! but true Wade embodies the word FAILURE better than anyone else...so lets enjoy 2009 eventhough Im not really looking forward too much. The only thing that I am happy about is that the alamodome is 10 minutes from my house and I have an all year pass to the rivercenter parking which means I will be seeing a lot of the boys this summer.

If he is an embarassment and deserves being muzzled, he should not be the head coach.

The real embarassment to the organization is the man who is still allowed to speak.

No kidding. Dennis makes it sound like Jerry is doing Wade a favor, instead of nakedly emasculating him. He's not qualified to speak to the press but he is qualified or lead a flagship football team? Insane. BTW, since when is it a crime to be "bland and boring"? Landry was too, and he botched players' names to boot.

most dysfunctional situation ever in Dallas...Jones put the kabash on Wade speaking because he didnt want the truth about the Reeves situation and other stuff getting out, or getting worse.

I said it at the end of the season and will say it again, I'd rather watch the 1989 Cowboys play than this sack of garbage we have. This is just a disgrace.

So I take it that watching them laydown and die with no effort those last few minutes of the Baltimore game, and then that whole 60 minute debacle vs Philly was pleasing to you?

I'm sick of seeing this team play with no heart, the Laissez-faire attitude, the "well if a loss is thw worst thing that ever happens to me" garbage...there's a ton of talent here, but they play like garbage because they dont do the little things necessary to get better.

My comment had a point, you just didnt get it.

If someone hires a coach who is an "embarrassment" as a face and voice of the team, then you've got a much bigger problem than the embarrassment. Namely the moron who hired him.
