Jerry's lack of attention to WRs in the draft is clearly evident thsi year - while we were drafting Fasano, Bennett, or whatever failed 2nd round pick, the giants were getting Steve Smith and Mario Manningham.

He's afraid to draft them for some reason. We either sign them as FA's or trade for them.

I've heard it said Jerry thinks rookie WR's won't be able to contribute much right away. But then he has no problem with drafting guys like Jason Williams or other defenders who may take time to develop.

It just makes no sense why we always seem to neglect WR in the draft.

Stanback is gone and his replacement who cannot be any worse than what we have is still in Texas, besides it takes to long to draft and train a potential threat/speed/quick receiver than it does to develop a slow almost quick, gained some speed after four years receiver. Our GM knows better than every other GM in the league. The anti-Matt Millan.
