Also does it appear the Eagles are playing a vanilla defense due to next week having to play again? I know they want to win but is it possible they want to do it not showing to much and willing to take a loss otherwise?

That'd be a really bad move on the Eagles part. They'd be missing out on a home game and a first round bye. There's no way they aren't trying to win this game.

Of course it would be great but we can't rely upon it and we can't just give him the #2 position next year - he needs to earn it.

No, that is not the issue. He just isn't a good wr right now - he will have to totally re-invent himself. I don't think he is willing to look in the mirror and see what is wrong.

Teams have done it but it hasn't been good for us the last two times we've had to try and do it over the last 11 years. '98 vs. Arizona and '07 vs. Giants.

Teams do it a lot more often than not. We didn't in those two (statistically insignificant) situations, but both times we were beat by a team that was legitimately playing better than we were going into the game. Playing with momentum *does* matter.
