I posted a thread where I said he needed to atleast scramble or throw the ball away...I hurt a lot of BU%%%%%%% but anyways good game cowboys...I'm glad Romo didn't just stand back there and take sacks....he needs to do more of that. Scramble for a first or throw it away is better than sacks or throwing picks.

Looks positive and reasonable to me. I take it at some point during the game you said this is an 8-8 team. Do you still think so? I've had them pegged as a 7 to 9 win team until today's game. Now I'm going with 9 to 11. Any upgrades?

Yes, I claimed after KC they were an 8-8 team, and during the first quarter I repeated it. Still think 8-8? Maybe. After today I can see 9-7. I'll admit I am very jaded when it comes to this team, I have seen too many December collapses and mediocre seasons this past decade. Ive seen too many games like today where we show that we actually can beat any team in the league followed the next week by an utter let down. Win again next week and I'll believe a little more. I think 10-6 is as high as we go though. It took me a long time to get cynical about this team and it will take more than one game to turn it around for me. But I did love the game today and get pretty annoyed when people question my fanhood just because I don't wear their rosy glasses.

I think after you gave up on teh team after the first quarter, and you want to go with this defense it says two things:


1 you dont know football and that there are 4 quarters to play

2 you dont know how things work on a football team and have no faith in your knowledge to hold a reasonable conversation about football.

I did not give up on the team in the first quarter, I merely stated they were playing like an 8-8 team. They were. How is that giving up on them?

I've seen the depths these Cowboys can stoop to. I sat through every play of the St Louis and Philadelphia losses last year. So I'm no homer. This was just one game. Having said that, I just don't see how this club goes 4-6 the rest of this year. They've still got four games left against teams that are downright bad (Seattle, Oakland, Washington twice) and 4 against teams that aren't that good (Philadelphia twice, Green Bay and San Diego) and the NYG and New Orleans on the road, both really tough games.

Yeah, they may not. And like I say come out and beat Seattle and I'll have even more faith. Washington will play them tough, well at least once, they always do. Philly and Green Bay would be much more winable if they were not road games, IMO, and the last Philly game could be very interesting as far as playoff implications go, just like last year. @NY and NO, we'll be up for those games so who knows. Thats the thing, I just don't feel like you can count on this team. I have every bit of faith that they will show up to play hard @ NY but I worry that they will struggle against Oakland....that kind of deal. So who knows, not I. Glad they won today, a wonderful win.

lol they played terrible. The D got driven the entire length of the field, Romo did not even complete a pass the entire first quarter, of course I was ragging on them. There is a huge difference between ragging on a team playing crappy and giving up on a team. By your standards you can't say anything negative about a team with out giving up on it.
