Romo is a symptom. Jerry is the disease.

The problem is Wade Philips. All this talk of putting Kitna in is just crazy. For good or for ill, Romo is our guy and Kitna isn't going to take us to any SB. Our only hope is a new coach who can somehow get through to Romo, work with him and get his head screwed on straight. Romo has the physical skills but somebody has to get into his head. His current thinking process sucks.

That fat piece of lard Wade: How in the world did he find himself the coach of the most glamorous team in the universe that now has a brand-new $1.1 billion stadium.
How did that bucket of blubber ever achieve that?
Jerra has reaped what he sowed as far as a pliable, obedient coach.

Phillips now has the distinct honor of being the Head Coach who lost the last game ever at Texas Stadium and the first game ever in brand spanking new Cowboys Stadium.

Jerry must be so proud.

ok who replaces him two games into the season?

Garrett

And I think Garrett can bring in a DC within a week.

It will be tough but doable if we keep the present schemes and let the new DC add the wrinkles.

It can be done. Anything is better than this god awful piece of unwanted lard who is best suited running a high school JV defensive squad, not the DALLAS COWBOYS!

just awful clock management too, someone on the defense should have had some balls or a brain and started calling timeouts when the giants were milking clock for the fg chance. that was brain dead from everyone involved.

Had not thought of that. damn . . . . He shrugs and walks away, this porcine-like Wade.
Jerra deserves Wade, the most clueless and spineless coach in the NFL.

Let's be real: If not for romo, Garrett churns out a pretty good offense.

But when the offense has to huff and puff for the defense letting the Giants put so many points on the scoreboard, something is wrong and that is the HC (that tub of lard) and the DC (that piece of unwanted blubber) both by the name of Wade.

Well the turnovers killed us and gave the Giants short fields. I think we sucked on both sides of the ball but Romo really did a number tonight. If you want anything positive about tonight it's that NY redzone effeciency sucks and if they weren't so bad in that department this game would have not even been close.

I'm on vacation right now and I watched the game at a Super 8 in San Jose, CA.

Pretty bitter about this man....

I was almost sure we would win this game considering the health of our team and the huge crowd advantage.......big letdown however.

Almost glad I didn't attend....almost.

Sold my tix for this game, cuz my girlfriend had her 2 weeks off this month for vacation etc, etc.

Very disappointing loss....only a SB win can take the sting away from this opening stadium loss.

JMO

Like I said....pretty bitter right now.....sigh

Good presser from Romo. Taking responsibility for this one. I like his attitude.

**** Tony. Second verse, same as the 1st.

I'd be pissed if I were in that locker room. Literally, this is how Bears fans must have felt when the lost the superbowl that year. QB who practically played for the other team.

Who's care if we lost by 2 or lost by 38 pts.. This team doesn't know how to win big games. Same old same old.

then why does it matter if they only win by 2 and not 38?

yeah blame the defense and them giving up 7 pts. But totally disregard tony and his 21 points he is responsible for. Wade made him throw those balls. right

Jerra looks kinda gud in that top had in the center ring.

It doesn't. It only matters if a teams wins, especially in the playoffs -- an event that hasn't occurred in 12 years. And, quite frankly, it doesn't look as if it's going to happen again any time soon...at least not as long as Jerry is the owner.

I would like to say it's luck but frankly, there were other factors. The freaky INT? Romo throws it behind a wide open Witten thus opening the door for that freakish INT. The little popup bobble in the endzone? That was a perfect pass by Eli that put them in position to even bobble that ball in the first place. The tipped pass? uh, the guy was open. He wasn't blanketed...

EXACTLY! Eli gave another example of what a winning QB does!
This loss sickens me. I'm also sickened by the apologetic and forgiving nature of the posters here!! Talk of freakish bounces and turning towards next week is evidence of an apathetic fan base. GET ANGRY. Romo is a loser. Where once, his calm demeanor after tough losses was ingratiating, now, that cavalier attitude is infuriating! I catch hell here in NY, with the taunts of my QB...but the fact is they're right! The window is rapidly closing on the 'Boys. It's time for Tony to hear "footsteps"

No, he didn't make him throw them balls.

But no player on the team is afraid when he throws a pick.
No player (flo) is afraid when he is called on an offensive penalty and has the distiction of having the most penalties in the NFL.
No player is afraid of being yelled at when he loses a ball, either.
No player is afriad to go to the sidelines when he blows an assignment.
In Jimma's day, players would be scorched by Jimma's yelling and bulging neck veins before the offending player even headed for the bench.
In Jimma's day, players who blew assignments would hide on the sidelines and avoid Jimma's stare.
Nowadays the players do that and don't care. They will rationalize their failings because Wade rationalizes them so well too.

Wade didn't make anybody throw picks.
But, then again, Wade didn't make anybody fear for their jobs or a tongue lashing, and that is part of leadership -- to be both respected AND FEARED.

Wade didn't do nothing. And that is the problem.

Not quite sure why everyone thinks the fact the team hasn't won a playoff game since 1996 has any bearing on the outcome today.

all I heard all summer is that all that matters are wins in December and January and that our wins now don't mean anything yet for some strange reason, losses now mean everything.

Footsteps? From who. McGee? maybe in 4 years. We go as far as Romo takes us for a long time to come.

This is setting the stage for an unhappy union.
Why would you let your girlfriend's vacation interfer with you going to the Cathedral of Cowboydom to see them play the Giants?
Is she going to drag you to a wine tasting? To meet Aunt Eunice?

Kinda of a short leash there, Silver.
Pls. Keep her ONLY as your girlfriend. It already seems as if she exerts waaay too much power over you. And run fast if she ever mentions the M word.
I am only looking out for your happiness.

We are deluding ourselves if we think Romo is going to "take us" somewhere! Perhaps the insult of competition (no matter how seemingly inferior the competitor) would stimulate something into that rascal Romo! Tony Cavalier!!
There HAS TO BE a breaking point. Yes, wade is a simp, but Wade wasnt coaching during that fumbled snap at Seattle a few years ago!! Remember..there was a lightbulb moment that sat Drew Bledsoe down a few years ago in favor of Tony.
