Cbz40 Post Game Thread | Dallas Cowboys 24 New York Giants 31 FINAL

No. Cutting him would be stupid.

Yes, he has been bad this year. Yes, it sucks. But you give him the year and the offseason, plus training camp and see what happens.

If he continues to struggle, he doesn;'t make the roster... next year.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I would glaly take slam after slam for posting stuff that apparently "hurts the feelings" of some on this board.

And as I mentioned in those posts, I would gladly accept all apologies, on average about, 2-4 weeks after I post them.

Of course then the arguements (in a chat room setting) begin, I get called names and so on. Of course since we are all passionate about our team I never take anything personally, but am wondering about such aforementioned items such as:

a) The culture around this team is the biggest issue that they will not be able to overcome (well, I'm glad this December/Big Game thing seems corrected),

b) We run screen passes to our RBs worse than anyone in the league (you all were correct, we are masterful at these. Don't let 4 yard loses, fumbles, etc. change your minds),

c) Garrett is simply outmatched when it comes to game planning in this league (everyone who states I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to him is clearly correct...especially when you look at the body of work over the past month),

d) Dallas will continue to be the ONLY team in the league that will not take advantage of what other teams expose (wow, a Giants D that has struggled since New Orleans is all the sudden unbelievable again),

e) Folk is done (again, I was obviously waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off the mark with this one),

f) Most of you seem okay with 7-9, 8-8, 9-7s (based on the corronations that were being posted over the past 4-5 weeks you would have thought we were 12-0)...

As mentioned, the truth hurts. And you all may continue to hurl insults my way. Yet sadly (and trust me this hurts me more than you know), I must once again ask: "Do you now see what I have been trying to say????"

Of course now I'm sure I will just have replies that range from "idiot, to I bet your happy you can say you were right, to it's still okay, to this is just one game..."

Whatever.

When it comes down to it I hold to the statements previously submitted. Today, and weeks ago.

(God I wish you guys were correct and I was wrong on these...),

Chris

We need a field goal kicker that can make kicks from 40-49 yards and Folk is no longer reliable since his surgery. We don't have to cut him, but we need to sign another kicker for the rest of the year and see if Folk can come back to his old self next year.

I'm takng one away from Folk and giving it to Witten.
I'm taking one away from the o-line for lack of run-blocking and giving it to RW.
I'm talking one away from MBIII who hasn't averaged squat in quite a while and giving it to Romo. Run-blocking or not, you just haven't been very good this year.

I'd take more away from the ST and defense but there's not many others to give it to.

I'm not as happy about the loss as you are, basilhayden, but I will say this: If you had told me that Romo would have over 300 yards and 3 TDs, Roy would have 2 TDs and Witten would have 14 catches and over 100 yards, I would've expected this to be a win today. Unbelievable and disappointing.

Barber killed this game! He totally changed the momentum and gave the Giants life.

I'd throw him on IR. Maybe his hip still isn't right, maybe his head isn't. Either way, something is wrong with him. He's too valuable to cut, so toss him on IR and see what the USC kid can do.

defense let the team down
running game offense and oline let team down
special teams let team down
poor coaching decision on the challenge

a well deserved loss.

......preaching to the choir....that was the same old gutless, shallow, inconsistent Dec. effort they've given since the michelin man rolled into town to coach them. No running game mostly thanks to MB3's no show, special teams were a joke and the defense was completely in the fetal position in the second half.... I expect one more win: either SanDiego or Wash.: that's IT. 9-7 and miss playoffs:Wade will be gone and start over. Pretty much what 98% of us thought at the start of the season.

He will be cut next year. Cowboys will be drafting a kicker. Should be some good ones in this draft.

I'm sick of this ****, every year it the same.

Big game chance to put our selves in good position for getting inn the playoffs and the whole team (not Romo this time) tank someone else will lose and we'll probably win 1 more game so they'll have plenty more of these games for them to break our harts 2-3 more times before the month is up :(:(

lol, if we are going to start cutting people that played bad today we will not be fielding a team next week. I kid you not.

Man like everyone else i want us to win so badly, yet we continue to lose big game after big game.. so disappointing.

Romo missed a wide open Williams for a TD. Should he too get cut? The difference in the game was not a FG.

It changed the dynamic of the game. In fact now that he's clearly not dependable, it changes the dynamic of the play calling in future games. A 42 yarder for a pro kicker in that situation, he has to make those, this year he hasnt.

This game is on the D, Special teams and Barber!! IMO its time to use the young guys Jones and Choice!!

Yes, Romo had a really good game. The pieces just never fit all together. I hope this loss doesn't shatter his women like fragile psyche...:laugh2:

Only the blind, kool-aid drinking homers, would consider otherwise.

But no, they will attack the fan base to compensate for the shortcoming of their pathetic arguments...

So agreed...I guess what you are seeing is incorrect...I've been claiming this for weeks.

Well, some parts of the team showed up. Others didn't. We rarely play a complete game it seems like.
