Bleacher's Report blocks all links, so just go on Google and type into CeeDee Lamb Dak Prescott can play intos his 40s.

First of all, he's not say Dak is Brady or Rodgers in caliber..... he's just saying he thinks he can play into his 40s like those guys. Hearing his claim, I think he might be right. Dak's strengths are his mental attributes over physical. Those types of QBs... in the vein of Manning, Brees, Brady gets better into their 30s. All of those were better in their 30s than their 20s. Again not saying Dak is in league with those guys.... just saying that I think CD is closer to being right than wrong.

I’m sure a few people just threw up in their mouths. I’m a big Dak fan as a self made man who’s become more of an NFL QB than I expected when he was drafted. However, unless we get to a SB in the next 4 years, I have no interest in seeing him as QB when he’s 40.

Keeping all the opinions about his abilities aside (and we know they are coming), it's easy to see Dak playing that long. He takes great care of his body and barring a major injury or two he can last another decade.

Doubtful. If he makes 1 Championship game in the next 2 years and he stays at about the 95-105 QB rating range, Jerry likely extends him.

It doesn't take much for a QB to get extended here. In certain other locals maybe it takes more than that.
He’s going to get extended in the next 10 months without accomplishing anything

That might be true too. But either way, it doesn't look like his fiercest haters are gonna get their fairy tale ending like they've been dreaming up in their heads for a while now.

He may play until age 40 and even 40 plus but he probably will never play "LIKE" Brady and Rodgers.

The thing with Brady and Rodgers is that they are Hall of Fame QBs, so if they lose a bit of ability in their later years, they still better than most.

Dak is not in that category so if he loses some ability...

Don’t see Dak lasting near that long. He’s already showing signs of decline. If he were to continue to regress this season, he’ll be done by his mid 30s, as far as a starting QB.

It’s impossible. He has a 60M cap hit next season. He’s getting extended. Yes or yes.

Don't know what you're seeing. You can even argue Dak 2022 is better than Dak 2021. He's beating better opponents.... Vikings, Eagles, Lions and he continues to lay the hammer down on most teams (Colts, Bucs, Jags... wasn't his fault we lost) It's just those INTs that his receivers tipped up in the air lowered his overall rating. Without those flukey INTs, there wouldn't be any talk of his decline. Ok he was bad against the 49ers, but that's not a decline as its just one bad game in a game where he needed to be good.

I’ve been accused of being a Dak lover/homer so trust me I’m seeing things clearly. No one here is more honest about him than me. He started regressing after he returned from the calf injury against Denver in 2021. He’s been up and down ever since. He’ll look great one week and terrible the next. The most perfect example of that was in the season finale against a bad Washington team last year when he laid a rotten egg against a rookie QB making their first NFL start and the following week in the playoffs against Tom Brady, he plays one of the best games of his career. The next week against San Francisco he played terrible again. He’s still a real good QB, but I just can’t see him playing at a high level at age 40. Most of the QBs that have are amongst the all-time greats. This is a pretty critical season for Dak, because if he has a rough season the Cowboys may decide not to extend him.
