You don't know this. You are making up scenarios to advance your reasoning. I have no reasoning. I have facts! We see it every week from other teams. Other teams find their number 1 receiver when needed. Even Cousins of Minnesota. They needed that first down. Buffalo knew who he was going to- Jefferson. Couldn't stop it. Minnesota first down =win. Everybody knew in the pinch Roger Staubach was going to Drew Pearson. Couldn't stop it.
But we make excuses on why our system and quarterback can't do the same

Maybe you haven’t seen the diagram of the play, showing all 3 receivers going deep with Ceedee bracket by 3, Gallup in man where the dot for his man basically blots out his dot, and Brown running man to man as the only option. That was bad play design. The final pass in overtime was also clearly designed for Brown on a crossing pic by the TE. Good design, but on that one, why not Ceedee running the same play?

I’ll tell you why. Because it’s the same reason Cooper was often not in play when he was here. Kellen believes in his play design and if the defense wants to double or bracket the number one, he believes the ball should go to whomever the defense makes the best option. If the Rams had done that, the Bengals would have won the SB. Moore doesn’t run his plays to make the number one guy the guy getting the picks and crosses. Some OCs design and adjust plays and positions to get the ball to the most talented and trusted guy. Other OCs design to expose the best option vs the defense and expect the QB to read that and go to his play’s best option, even if it’s the #2 or #3 guy. Guess which one describes Moore!

I don't necessarily have a problem with the strategy if you have a third receiver you trust that much. While Brown has been better than expected in that role, he's not the receiver you target in that situation. Hopefully, adding Hilton gives us a better option if we're going to rely on the No. 3 guy with the game on the line.

I hear ya. But in the press conference Dak was asked that. He said they read the play all the way and had two defenders on CD and a safety one on top of him. Go to the 12:13 mark of this video. You can see they read it all the way.



I don't know if Zach and Tyron are on the same page yet because it looks like Zach failed to pick up #91 on that stunt. I think they should've traded off. Dak didn't have time to do anything else. They had 7 blockers on that play and they still got to him.

Yep. Only 3 options on that play. CD, who was blanketed. Gallup who had a little trouble get seperation, and Brown. If Dak has a little time, Schultz sees that Tyler doesn't need help so he breaks away right when Dak throws it. Schultz's defender is about 8 yards from him and with a looot of open field to work with. Schultz isn't strong or fast but maybe he finds a way to get that first down.

You should be complaining that we threw the dam ball! We should have ran it on 3rd down, made Jacksonville use their final time out, then punted the ball!! Jacksonville gets the ball with no timeouts and about 40 seconds! Even our defense could have stopped them from getting in FG range!

Let me fix this for you.....I been saying they should of ran the ball there. I'm saying now if Moore was so damn content on throwing the ball. You go to your number 1 receiver or even Gallup. Not your 3rd or 4th option.
